Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo President Talks XBOX Kinect& PlayStation Move

So, let's assume Reggie considered every single Move or Move compatible game available.  He just said that nothing really stood out for him.  He didn't say that they were bad games, nor that he didn't like them.  It's his opinion!  So maybe he doesn't think the Move games out there provide something new and innovative that makes them stand out.

Wii has way too much shovelware for him to say that move games are all the same, although it is true that Move game as of now don't have much variety, same for Kinect. Even though the wii has some really awesome and unique games, they sadly end up selling like crap (NMH, Red Steel 2, Mad World, etc.) For gamers, I really hope that the 3 come out with their own variety of awesome games that define each one and to avoid that generic crapfest.

MadWorld was a hack and slash that didn't even support widescreen (supposedly). It was about as good as the first Red Steel. As for No More Heroes sales, the game sold almost 500k copies. I wouldn't call that a failure especially since it's a Mature rated title on a console people seem to think (generally) is for "casual" gamers.

Looking at all the Move and Kinect games minus Dance Central, I wouldn't be worried if I was Nintendo either..

It seems Reggie has stealth trolled really good this time, it generated another thread that derailed into a battle of epic proportions between fanboys of different consoles.

Above: still the best game of the year.

So he basically managed to cunningly convey:

  • Move and Kinect do different things better than the other - cunning extrapolation, neither is fully capable and each has genre weaknesses vs Wii which has titles in all genres and only needs one set of controls which it's had from the start
  • Move has a bunch of similarly average titles - cunning extrapolation, Move ain't worth it folks with games like that
  • Kinect has one good game - which sells way less than dance titles on Wii, no wonder he was comfortable mentioning it at least at this juncture - and everything else isn't even worth mentioning - cunning extrapolation, Kinect titles are terrible except for Dance Central, which is just a dance game like we already have on Wii

Man, that is class Trolling by the guy.  Way smooth next to the trash talking PR from the others yet despite sounding polite he basically argued both Move/Kinect are a waste of money right now vs purchasing a Wii and that they both deserve - at least at this point - to be flashes in the pan with weak game support.

Not saying I agree BTW - I have a damn PS3/Move and will probably get Kinect for my 360 - but that was smoothly done.

The whole basis for your argument is an argument by omission. You're filling in the blanks on what Reggie didn't say. I could hardly call this a Reasonable method to form a proper argument.

Indeed.  That's the genius of his approach.  I doubt it's an accident.  By careful omission and what he does say to get you thinking about what he doesn't he trashes the competition.

That's class.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Nintendo don't care about motion control rivals because they may have some in hand to wii2 lol i just cant wait for all of that upcoming consoles.
