Forums - Nintendo - Mario All Starts to be reprinted

Isn't it a Limited Edition thing for Mario's 25th Anniversary?

Wouldn't a reprint of it actually go against what it was released for in the first place, and be more of a milking the userbase thing?

Yeah but it's more $$$, which is what Nintendo go for, obviously, as a business.

I forgive you for thinking otherwise though, given people like to pretend Nintendo arnt like every other company and their love for fans come before money ...

Why they would even need to consider this is beyond me.

Why you think selling more copies of a hit game is something beyond considering is just silly.

It's selling more copies of a hit game. Your comment is basically the same bad logic that made developers neglect the Wii ("we sold a million copies of RE4 on the Wii. We can't have more of that").

Er, perhaps Kenology means "it's silly to even consider this, just do it already" ...

Okay, I see that comment could be read two ways, and it hopefully wasn't what I thought it was.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Well there's obviously a demand for this compilation so they should definitely reprint it.

It definitely wasn't.  It makes more sense to interpret it how Seece and Rol did really.

Well I have seen that kind of phrase in terms of "they shouldn't do this", especially in regards to third party Wii support. That's why I saw it that way. But since you didn't mean it that way, I of course retract that reply.

And I agree that Nintendo doesn't even need to consider this. Just freakin' do it.

Right on.

Watch them reprint it without the booklet/CD... and still $29.99.

As they like to do with pretty much every other company.

Besides, you can love both your money and your fans, can't you, ;)?

On topic, I don't see why it was limited edition in the first place. I'm glad they are considering reprinting it though - I still haven't got it and I'd rather not pay over 300% of recommended price for it.

Yeah, I got lucky that my fiancée pre-ordered it for me for Christmas.  I took a look around for the game on launch day and didn't even see it in stores then.
