GT5 UK drop was 40%... it means anything between 50 and 60k.

Extrapolating to EMEAA: 170-200k

Extrapolating to WW: 290-350k

So I will lose my bet???

anyways its highly possible it will but I predict it will fall just shy of 5m sum where around 4.9m

My prediction is 5.15M at the next week finish, but as it would have 1st and 2nd of January we can remove a litle of the sales and be between 5.05~5.1M

And i said it even before the launch, GT5 will sell 5M until the end of the year, 8M by 2011 and 10~11M LTD. This without heaving bundle of course.

It could sell 250-350k, landing just short of the goal. Then it could be adjusted up.   

Considering GT5 has been accused of privileging too much Japan in its car assortment, I'm quite surprised the Japanese welcomed it worse than expected, but this gen can really be unpredictable sometimes, I also expect some outsider to revolutionize again PC gaming world sooner or later in Heaven knows what genre... And as I maybe already wrote somewhere else, I hope GT5 success, providing attention to the whole genre for free, will help PC devs find funds easier to complete the next PC racing sims (arcade racers OTOH, if still liked enough by PC gamers, can enjoy the indirect boost from Mario Kart).

It sold 524,431 last week, with a dropoff of 51,000. Even with a 100,000 dropoff for next week, that will be enough to cross the mark.

I'm going to say it will sell 450,000 next week, for a total of 5.09 million sales.

IMO,it wont.But it will be very close.

I'm expecting a week around 310K.I do think GT5 will get adjusted up though,since most of it's sales come from EMEAA,and VGchartz has a hard time tracking all the locations there.

I doubt it will. though id estimate 2 weeks and it will def be over 5 million. (id say 5.25 million in 2 weeks )

Even if it dosent get that, it will cruise past that number the following week, which is good enough for me. but i am concerned these sales are a consquence of the hoilday boost, and GT might not be able to hold those sales for the following months of the year, hopefully those concerns are unfounded!
