LOL...wtf are you talking about?  I had thought that a price cut would be the only way to generate heavy increases in sales, but that wasn't the case this year.  I’m not sure why you are so angry, but maybe some valium will help… 

 

I hate post like your because it sounds as if 360 is selling better without nothing... It has a Slim model, Kinect, and Kinect bundles for the same price as Elite bundle. So don't act as if you're too smart. :)

 

The FACT is that almost no one would have suspected that KINECT and a redesigned 360 would supplant a price cut, and to suggest there is nothing unusual about this is disingenuous and more re-writing of nearly all the popular sentiment from just 6 or 7 months ago.  A 5-10% increase is one thing, but 40-50% is not, and it means that we might not see price cuts until next holiday season…but you expected that, I’m sure...lol.

 

Happens so much here.  In addition no one wants to talk about how PS3 launched Move and it had little to no effect on sales yet they want to minimize the 360's increase because it had Kinect.  I really wish people would just be honest with themselves about it, but that would mean admitting something that they'd rather not...

Darth Tigris keep your words out of this discussion. No one tries to downsize X360 success, not my fault if people are having issues understanding some english words.

X360 is doing great, but making it appear as if it's doing great just by chance, and that nothing changed compared to last year, if you insist on this idea, then I laugh alot.

Heh, that's why sometimes you just have to close your eyes when you read some comments. The X360 is doing better, not PS3 doing much worse. Last year it had Slim, this Year X360 has Slim and Kinect (no Move came out earlier and isn't "really" popular or pushing hardware). And I don't want to say something because I'll get banned but, let's see what happens in late January =D just for the fun and the meltdowns. Inb4 Bu bu but... :p

First of all I have as much right to post hear as anyone.  I've abided by the sites rules and tried to be respectful, so I don't see the problem.

If you really believe "NO ONE tries to downsize the X360 success", then you really do not read many post on this site.  It happens on quite a few occasions.  If you're saying that YOU aren't doing that, then that's different.

I also don't see where anyone indicated that the 360 is doing great by chance.  I understood the problem being those that NOW act as if this performance was expected when the common perception peppered all over these boards throughout spring, summer and early fall was that the 360 would finish in 3rd place this holiday and Kinect would be DoA.  In addition, historically consoles do NOT perform like this unless there is a price cut, which the 360 did not have.  So I do not insist on the idea that it is by chance (though I still would like to make you laugh, so enjoy), I DO insist on the idea that it is a MUCH better performance than was expected.

When I said discussion it was the discussion between heruamon and me.

When I said no one tries well I know that some people are trying to downsize the success of the X360, but it's ofently the same, so I care less.

PS3 was depleted?  From what, the stock hiding elves? ;)

PS3 was an utter disappointment in my books...$100 gift card promotion with oodles of stock should have blown the doors off their sales.

Lets realistically look at 360 being at very low numbers in terms of availably and still rocking.  The 4gb Kinect and 250gig models being utterly unavailable pretty much everywhere....
