"The launch of Nintendo's long-awaited 3D version of its best-selling DS games console has been overshadowed by a health warning.
The Japanese computer giant has said children under the age of six should not use the device in 3D mode as it may harm their eyesight. The Nintendo 3DS represents a major breakthrough as it will be the first hand-held games console to offer 3D images of both games and films without the need for glasses."
Of course, the 3D effects can be turned off, but it could put off some parents into buying the 3DS for their children. Do you think that these warnings are going to affect the sales of the 3DS?
I don't think that the under six are a particularly large part of the DS userbase, but if lawsuits start appearing for damaged eyes, it might make people of all ages less likely to pick one up.
