GT5 has the b enefit of releasing during Christmas. It has been estimated that launching during this window gives at least a 15-20% bump in sales. Therefore, when we align launches and see GT5 was released a month before Christmas and Halo Reach was released in September, the advantages tilts towards GT5

You are forgetting that GT5 had competition from F1 and NFS:Hot Pursuit at launch.Halo Reach didn't have any.

You did say in the OP that PS3 is NOT pirated...

I meant that GT5 will not lose any sales to piracy while Halo will.

Of course Halo : Reach will have a bigger opening then GT5. Who said otherwise ? It's still unclear on who will come out on top for lifetime sales though.

Am I the only one that feels like all this guys threads are him trying to shove every Microsoft success down our throats and push down Sony and Nintendo, or am I just paranoid? Either way, Halo is not the top shooter series (or even exclusive) this gen. Sorry to disappoint you. :(
