I hope it will! it's been selling well especially in EU and NA. They really did better than expected over there

It's sad to remember how little the prime series sold.   So good yet no one bought it, Other M looks to be on track to sell just as much as Prime and that's with an audience divided on it's quality.

After one full year, I see DKCR managing this much (6.82 Million) worldwide. Japan actually surprised me this time and has done a good job of picking it up.

Currently Other m is tracking some 150k under Prime 3. If it has better legs, it... might sell as much as prime 3 - 1,58. In fairness, Prime 3 had the advantage of being a launch title.

After 16 weeks of availability in all regions MP3 was at 1,063K, 400K more than Metroid Other M. If you don't align launches of MP3, it was still ahead by over 200K (with only 8 weeks in Europe and not yet released in Japan), so I don't know where you get 150k. This is also ignoring the fact that NPD for Metroid Other M has been much lower than vgchartz.

Hopefully it will. If it does then perhaps we won't have to wait so long for the next entry in the Donkey Kong series.

I quickly looked up the numbers. I didn't do a extensive study. Besides you can't compare different games anymore in a single graph - That's where i miscounted. 

About the npd difference: Does that mean that Nintendo hasn't released any salesnumbers of Other m...?

I'm surprised DK took off this quickly, though i suppose i shouldn't have been.

It will be interesting to see where both Retro and the Metroid franchise go from here, but my guess is a Metroid Prime 4 might appear somewhere for the next Nintendo console while the "mainline" Metroid series goes back to handhelds (but given the 3DS' capabilities, that could still lead to some full-scale gloriousness)
