@TWRoo  the motion controls do nothing for me, it was fun for a while but a gamepad is just more accurate for me. I just liked the whole switching character thing, and IMHO MKWii was kind of a step back to me it was just another Mario Kart game. and I didnt like the recycled tracks

Not sure how many the gamecube one had, but Mario Kart 64 only had 16 tracks, so I have absolutely no problem having 16 brand new tracks and 16 old tracks (a majority of which I've never played).

MK:DD also had 16 tracks.... so MK:Wii had the same number of new tracks, plus those old tracks revisited.

I will admit I miss baby park from MK:DD though, that was frantic (if you haven't played it, it was a really short oblong track which you could do a 10 second lap on a time trial, but with players I think it was 8 laps long rather than the usual 3, and the number of items flying about is insane)

That's awesome!  Could you drift around the whole thing for time trials?

You could, just (it was two straights connected by a hairpin at each end) but I found it wasn't the fastest way around.

I'm having trouble finding on MK Wii what exactly is the fastest way around some of the tracks when the expert ghost seems to be my most amazing laps ever minus 2 more seconds, yet he takes the same exact pathway as me.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

The expert ghosts are faster or slower than you?

either way I can probably help time trials are my forte: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=25478

i'll PM you rather than going off topic in this thread too much.

yeah I forgot about all those tracks for MKWii

I just beat Red Steel 2. get it. great single player(that's what ur after right?), good tech demo also to show off to friends. I think it deserves its average review score of 85%. I would have given it a 90% if it had a nice story but the story is very plain.

Pretty much what everyone else have said. But, Monster Hunter Tri is just the best game ever. So get that before anything else!
