More or less. This is pretty much the same biased lack of perspective most kids his age show. He'll learn.

Also, I take offense to the poll answer that indicates that somebody who is drunk would have trouble reading your OP. I guarantee you that I can measurably out-read and out-type you (and, further, with better grammar and spelling) even if I'm blowing a .15.

For reference, I'm pretty damn shit-faced right now, and this took me all of about a minute to type up. Like sure I'd stagger and stumble if I stood up, but alcohol isn't that terrible or intense if you're smart about it and don't binge.

drinking sucks, so does smoking....

i cannot understand how people that can think logically get addicted to this kind of completely pointless stuff...

Not everybody who indulges in something is addicted. God damn it, I'm sick of everybody in this thread implying as much. You guys make it sound like you either abstain from alcohol completely or OMFG YER AN ALCOHLIC!

Don't forget this is a gaming forum and probably about everyone here is playing games more often than being drunk. So much for being addicted to anything.
And to be honest gaming is just as "pointless". In the end drinking and gaming are about the same: having fun. (at least for normal people)

well I don't drink much at all, never been drunk, a little buzzed. for others, it make great entertainment!

Thanks for the guffaw. There is no way you could possibly beat me in typing and grammar (as you claim, when you are under the influence of alcohol). I am an expeditious typist. It's also pretty ageist of you to come to an iditotic conclusion that kids lack 'perspective'. Sure I might not understand how it feels to be drunk or to have alcohol in my system but I do obtain the knowledge that stops me from ever finding out. Anything in excessiveness is bad and I clearly understand that. Moderation is the way to go but little to no alcohol is the best decision. There has been studies that have shown that wine has a positive impact in moderation. Beer itself hasn't shown those type of qualities. Just because you favor drinking doesn't mean your perspective is factual at all either!

Thanks for the guffaw. There is no way you could possibly beat me in typing and grammer (as you claim, when you are under the influence of alcohol). I am an expeditious typist. It's also pretty ageist of you to come to an iditotic conclusion that kids lack 'perspective'. Sure I might not understand how it feels to be drunk or to have alcohol in my system but I do obtain the knowledge that stops me from ever finding out. Personally, I think its best to follow path of moderation. Completely refraining yourself from all the pleasure that are bad to your physical health may prove to be worst to your mental health.  In any case, you may do fine all your life without ever drinking or doing anything bad to your physical health.

The danger is, later on in your life, you will surely develop balancing mechanism. When something bad happen or when you have to work hard. Having a few drinks on a friday/saturday night isnt that bad. You could compensate with worst thing, like obssessive disorder or mythomania. You look intelligent, im sure youll do fine. But you might find yourself driking on a friday night in a few years ; ) (im talking about drinking with moderation, not being passed out).

ATTN mods: please delete this post. There doesn't seem to be any way for me to do so on my own

Unfortunatly, drinking alcoholic drinks have become a norm in todays society.

It has become the norm? It's been the norm for all of human history. The Greeks and Romans created Western culture whilst getting rat-arsed, Mediaeval Northern Europeans got 25% of their daily calories from beer and the British started the industrial revolution and created an empire on which the sun never set whilst drowning themselves in rum and gin.

To me it's the worst thing someone can do after murder and drugs.

So drinking and taking drugs are worse than robbery, assault, mutilation and rape? It sounds like *you're* high on something.

What's the point of drinking something that taste like **** or at least that's how the smell potrays it to be.

Clearly showing you have never drunk alcohol, in which case you can't understand what's enjoyable about it.

So why do you or why do you think people drink? What's your story? (rolls eyes)

So, you rant about how drinkers are stupid, then ask us to tell you why we drink and only give us poll options that make us sound like arseholes. That's very mature.

Thanks for the guffaw. There is no way you could possibly beat me in typing and grammer

grammer

e

He might be able to beat you at spelling.

And in answer to your question, I get drunk because it feels good. I enjoy it. Why don't you do what you enjoy instead of bitching about the choices everyone else makes? And why don't you move to a country like Saudi Arabia? You'd like it there. People who aren't members of the royal family are forced by law to be teetotallers; they can't choose to drink. You'll be able to see the wondrous civilisation that teetotalling creates.

EDIT: is there a "delete post" function on these forums? I couldn't find one. In fact, the posting system is generally hard to use when one is used to the markup system that is standard on the intertubes. Replying to specific parts of a post and replying to more than one post at the same time can be quite inconvenient, as is not being able to use a browser's spellchecker.
