TBH I am slightly dissappointed that the game is only around 30 hours. That's simply not enough for JRPGs.

30 hours is perfectly sufficient for the main storyline, if the game is made in a way that makes you want to play through it again. A big problem of modern JRPGs is that they are more focused on extending the one and only playthrough most players will have with pointless sidequests and challenges, instead of encouraging players to start the game over again from scratch.

I'm not a person who enjoys rerunning JRPGs directly after I have beaten it. So a shorter one is disappointing to me.

same here i usually giverpgs a break after i beat them. though im thinking the games story is 30 hours while the sidequest can help increase time quite a bit. But still 30 hours is a bit low.

I saw the vdieo presentation of it, and It looks amazing.

Amazing you say this, because the day Sakaguchi  quits making games is one step closer to the downfall of JRPG's as a whole. It will truly be a sad day.

So he's making it like it's his last game. That's one thing that Malstrom says is important in making a great game.

Be very afraid.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Somewhat agree...

I don't get you folks.  Some of the best RPGs ever made clock under 30 hours!  It's much better than filling a game with fluff to reach some artificial figure, in my humble opinion.

They are young. They have been trained to play through a game just once and then put it on the shelf. On top of that their reason to play are stories, not the actual gameplay. Not to mention one of them is Soriku.

And developers wonder why used game sales are a problem.
