 Castlevania series was never a Nintendo Exclusive series, just like the Final Fantasy and Metal Gear series, only fanboys will think that.

CV and MG weren't, but FF was.  Square never made a FF game on anything but a Nintendo system until FF7.

wrong, there were MSX2 versions, and they had better graphics.
only game in the series that is exclusive to nintendo consoles is FFIII for some reason i don't know about (can someone tell me why?)

Wrong, there was only a MSX2 version of FF1, that came out 1.5 years after the NES game, and it was done by Microcabin, not Square.  It also had inferior graphics, with no scrolling.  Until FFVII, Square only made FF games for Nintendo systems.

nitpicking straws again huh?  , i'm betting you found out about it just now, just so you know the "With no scrolling" part is false, the video you probably found is played on a slow emulator that isn't scrolling right.

and weither its ported by Square or not , its still released by them , thus making it not exclusive , also the other games were released on PC's (like the MSX) and Wonderswans and other handhelds in japan, the west never saw Final Fantasy being released correctly until FFVII,

it was FFI = FFI

FFII = FFIV

FFIII = VI

i bet you already know that but just a reminder that is.

the only Final Fantasies the westerners saw are on NES , thus thinking its a Nintendo exclusive thing, maybe they made a deal to release it outside of japan only on nintendo consoles , but not inside it.

Actually FF1 on MSX2 wasn't released by Square... again, it was released by Microcabin.  They licensed it, they ported and they published it, not Square. This isn't nitpicking, this is what I actually said.  And yeah, it did have actual scrolling but is was slow and choppy.  I like the MSX soundtrack better, but it definitely looks inferior to the NES version.

Square never made a FF on anything but a Nintendo platform until FF7 in 1997.  The WSC remakes came after that (FF1 was in 2000) and the earlier FFs were never ported to computer platforms (you may be thinking DQ1-2, which were on NEC PC9800 and later fantranslated to MSX and X68000).

Well, with the way you responded, it seemed to me like you were giving me attitude. If that wasn't your intention, I respectfully withdraw my comments and apologize.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

@rolstoppable see, i have a problem with your first point, to think that Ninty is the only one who can do a good 2d platformer is BS. Braid, LBP, Limbo, Rocket Knight those are games that are just as good as any of Ninty 2d platformers if not maybe better and they are dirt cheap. hell that new Rayman for PSN/XBL looks better than any of the 2d platformers ive seen, but this is IMO

Heres the thing, i dont have that much friends that game like that anymore, people have carreers kids and whatnot, so the days of people coming to my house and playing 3-4 man smash bros and what have you are dead. the ones that do play HATE the Wii. THey just do. Its all Xboxs and... ya know there not to fond of PS3 either. So this is why I get so down on Ninty when it comes to online. SOme people dont have the luxery to have 3 or 4 people to come over and play local online. IMHO I feel Ninty kind of screws over people like me

Woah, let's not get ahead of ourselves :P

@savior x  I think those are just better games, honestly what did NSMBWii really bring to the table???? co-op??? LBP did that and online, and level editor, I support that game because it technically never ends. How much better would Mario have been if it had a infinite levels?? Braid is one of the few platformers that force you to use your head, Limbo has an atmosphere rarely seen in 2d platformers. If I may be so bold I think that NSMBWii would not have sold half it did had it not been for Mario's brand

Half of what it sold is still ten million units.

What did NSMBWii bring to the table? The best 2-D platforming gameplay in over a decade and a great party experience.

I'm really sick and tired of hearing about LittleBigPlanet. I mean really, seriously annoyed like it revolutionized something. Several years from now, no one will be talking about LBP having any big impact on the videogame industry, yet people talk about it like it was a Godsend and it was not.

LBP was an above average level editor with not even half the amount of difficulty as NSMB in terms of RAW platforming. NSMB lacking online is one of the most overstated flaws I've ever seen planted on a game in many a year. Sales DO NOT EQUAL QUALITY, but if NSMB managed 20 million without online, the feature's significance in this case is wildly overstated.

The point of Mario is to save the princess; the end. If the game never ended, there would be no point to progressing throughout the worlds. I'd rather have Nintendo's professionally made content anyways, rather than 1 million subpar levels made by gamers. LBP never ending is just a million levels i wont play.

Braid, I found boring. LBP, I found boring. NSMB wasn't as good as Super Mario World, but it sure as hell was good enough for people to buy Wiis over it.
