To be fair Gears was originally planned for April.
As for the KZ3 comment. Gears 2 sold nearly 4 times as much as KZ2 in America, you're surprised by this?
I wonder how Mass Effect 2 is going to do on PS3, It's roughly a month from release and isn't in the top 30. Despite everything EA and BioWare have said about it.

Yes extremely! And I believe at the stage of the postponement to the "unknown date later in the year" the preorders were somewhere on the level of KZ3.. That was like a month or two ago.

take a look at bioshock in the PS3, but a little better. Very low first week sales and some legs. 1.5 million at the end, i think
edit, bioshock in ps3 is selling faster now and will get over one million early. I think ME2 in ps3 has a shot to climb to two million
LBP2 is number 1!!
