Very good week all around, excellent for Wii, but Kinect kicked Wii Fit Plus and Balance Board out of the top ten during Xmas weeks, despite the attractive BB bundle. As I predicted, Kinect didn't hit the whole Wii, but just Balance Board. Oh, I just noticed GT5 grew in America from the week before.

A lot of good deals out there... All consoles can be up YoY this week.

I tried to tell people this but nobody seems to listen.. I seriously doubt that there are that many people willing to shell out $300 JUST for an add on that currently supports 16 games, and only has 3 or 4 with ratings over the 80% range.

Now in all fairness, 360 is still selling strongly, and I do actually believe it may be a little undertracked this week. However, the fact that Kinect is pushing all these 360s I believe is a myth. What's mainly pushing the consoles is the continued effect of the slimline model, which offers far more value as well as simply more reliable, as well as the mega hits Halo Reach and Black Ops. GAMES are what sells consoles, not peripherals

1. as you obviously know it was a figure of speech..and things can roll uphill too with some force applied to it, or along the flat ground lol, but then again not sure what laws of phisic say about it

2. Never knew GT5 was competing with MKwii to be compared? Not for the same audience, might as well compare FPS on HD consoles to Wii ones. ;)

Seriously this pathetic GT5 trolling every week is getting annoying, the game is doing just fine in sales. Should hit 4-4.5 mil by years end I guess, which are great numbers.

Almost impossible to know where the 360 actually stands right now.  We know it's basically a 1:1 demand to the Wii but knowing how short it is coming up with lack of stock is really going to be the hard part.  It may be better for Vgchartz to just estimate a monthly total for the 360 at this point.  You can guess that in america 2.5 to 3.5 million will be sold in December so list it at 800K a week and call it good.

GT5 actually went up a little in American, but dropped more in U.K. I would have thought it would be the other way around. I"m surprised the numbers stayed so close to last weeks figures. Looks like it"ll break 4 million before the end of the year. I still dont think it"ll hit 10 miillion in its lifetime. Xbox 360 didnt have any major shortages. It keeps selling out and Microsoft keeps shipping more. Amazon had over 750 KinectAdventure units on Tuesday and plenty of the 4GB bundles. It was the best selling item on Amazon. Lets see what its doing now.

WOW! Wii sales are insane. 1.45 million and I think Japan sales will make it 1.5, thats insane.
