Maybe. Maybe not. The world may never know.
Anyways, it definitely wasn't a game for me. Bought it, played for about 30 minutes, and was tired of it. It just felt too repetitive.
Glad to hear that House of the Dead made them happy though. ^_^

It's a poor excuse of a game, your porting pleas would be better aimed at something different

The only advantage would have been having it across 2 platforms instead of one imo. I don't think it would have sold that much better on one HD console only. I mean it's not like every hardcore niche game sells so great on the HD twins either. It was kind of a wierd game honestly. I didn't buy it because it was simply too vile for me. Language that would make a sailor blush and violence only topped by the ManHunt games. If some of you like it that's cool, but it's just not my thing.
I'm not sure if this is apples to apples, but it's the closest comparison I can think of. Bayonetta on 360 vs. MadWorld on Wii. The NA and EMEAA sales are very close to the same, with Japan being the main difference in sales. Bayonetta isn't what I would call a niche game either. Taking into account the development and advertising budget you could argue that Madworld made more money. Bayonetta is considered a success though it failed to reach 1 million on HD consoles (not combined) yet Madworld gets panned. Oh well.

It's industrygamers. Flops don't happen on PS3/360

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Flops never happen on the Wii either. If something flops, it's always the consensus that the game sucked.
I agree it might have sold a little more on the HD consoles, but not as much as people think. Might have sold a million instead of 500k, but then again it probably would have cost twice as much to develop on the HD consoles.
The game would still be the same, so the userbase wouuldn't make much of a difference. Madworld was a good enough game, but the fact is that it was just a niche game with stylized graphics and extreme violence, plus it was way too short and had too little content for the price. These factors limited its potential sales.

not for Live or PSN
porting the game (with use of controller of course) wouldnt cost as much

Not significantly more and not enough to justify the extra HD costs.
The game was fun, for a short while. It wasn't worth more than $20 and frankly, on Wii at least it stood out. On the HD consoles, there is simply so many better action titles, it would have been overlooked.

Is he talking about the Madworld released on Wii?
I LOVE ICELAND!
