Forums - Gaming - I'm worried about SSX: Deadly Descent

So after watching the above trailer, I'm worried about the new SSX game.  SSX games were at their best when they were silly and over-the-top, not gritty and somewhat realistic.  When I play an SSX game, I don't want anything resembling a sim, it should be the Mario Kart of snow boarding games.

Instead of the above trailer ending with him nearly falling off a cliff in some ominous mountain, it would have been much more awesome if he just jumped right off the edge, the Tricky music kicked in, he did some absolutely ridiculous uber trick (maybe still fly but catch the board right as he landed), and that be it.  Instead it looks we're getting more of what made the past few SSX games bad.

Too bad, this could have been so easily a day one buy.

THAT....is not SSX.

I think we are all worried about SSX.  Let's all hold hands and sing Kumbaya.

But seriously, my wife conquered Tricky like no other.  I hardly played it because it was more entertaining watching her pull off those Uber tricks.  It's getting more and more about the trendy masses.

I'm not worried whatsoever at all! I'm just glad they are making another one.

I think all of us are worried about it twesterm. I hope gameplay videos bring back the original colour and craziness that the first 3 games did so well.

Whoever greenlighted this should be shot in both feet.  This is a recipe for disaster.

Pixel Art can be fun.

I'm about ready to cry after watching that. SSX used to be so fun. That looks so... not fun.
