@kyliedog im gonna have to go with these guys, we all know that 90 percent of the time a Wii version of a game will be inferior in some way to the HDs if not in features then definatlly in visuals, that does not mean that EA can just say screw it and do a not even half assed job but quarter assed. They should do the best they can. COD and GH are good examples of having at least a respectable game

Not quite that bad, but still pretty bad;
Need for Speed Hout Pursuit Wii:

Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit (the original on PC, launched in 1998):

Need for Speed Hout Pursuit 2 (Gamecube):

That's pretty damn bad though, and the gameplay looks like... the opposite of great. Why the hell would EA produce this crap?!
"The HD version was never going to be as good on Wii"
I wrote "good", note "as good". There is a difference. Call of Duty has about 85% or more of the content on the Wii per game as the HD versions. While that could be better, it's still enough to make every CoD game a hit on the Wii. The music games are also almost the same on the Wii, and they are also hits as well. It's not just a casual thing either as sales of the Lego Whatever games are also close on all the home systems, as guess what, they are all just as good on any system.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Who says they have to perfectly downgrade them? "good" allows for some flexibility. We saw what could be done on the PS2, and that's still more than what's going on here.

Whoa, whoa, whoa!
Dreamcast had way better looking racers. I played Sega GT and Le Mans recently, those look considerably better than this game. This is more like a Midway racer from the late 90s.
The game actually looks pretty fun. I would check it out if it were a budget title on Live Arcade or something. But giving this the same title as the HD game and selling it for $50... that's kinda fucked up.

Oh, poor EA, how can blame them, after all hardcore games don't sell on Wii. Btw, it's even more embarassing considering how Criterion made racing games look on Ps2.
