This a different developer from Soul Calibur, SC series always did "Guest characters" thing

btw Kratos was in Soul Calibur Broken Destiny , not Soul Calibur 2

its something to do with gore, Halo games aren't bloody or gory, i wouldn't see him doing a fitality , or getting his bones cracked.

Fenix would be a better fit, but I think MS would prefer MC in, as would netherealm studios. Bigger icon, appeal to more fans.

I meant that they are doing the same thing that SoulCalibur II did back then (guest characters). SoulCalibur II was one of the first to do so, no?

in a regular fighting game he would fit in fine, but has he ever pulled out someone's spine? Or torn their head off and played Volleyball with it? These are things I can see Kratos doing and would fit with his character but not Master Chief.

Not all MK characters are brutal in that way, there have been some pretty inventive Fatalitys over the years.

It wouldn't even necessarily have to be the Chief. Several members of Noble team would fit the bill nicely (and could filet people with their knives, that would be brutal)
