^^^^ I'm bored and wanted to start another thread since I haven't made one in a while.
Anyway, the GameCube reached this price point once, or at least in a Christmas deal, but I'm pretty sure it also became an offical price as well in its final years. One could argue the Wii won't need to have a price cut that low because by the time it reaches 100$ it might be on its 7th year if Nintendo keeps on shipping it to retailers (this is the start of Nintendo's fifth year btw since the Wii launched in November 2006). It probably won't go more than 7 years because third parties and Nintendo won't be giving any more siginficant or fun software by that time. But maybe a 80$ pricetag could extend it's life one more year? The Wii 8 years could possibly still make at least minimal profit.
So what do you guys think? Will the Wii ever get a price point of 80$ like the GameCube?
