You've just committed the 13th sin of the Final Fantasy's holy Bible.

Doesn't the fact it is a multiplatform release make this sin acceptable?  I wonder what the talk about FF XIII would of been if it had just been on the PS3.

I would still hate it and I'm sure many more would too.

Ok.  For some reason there seems to be less emotional attachment to multiplatform titles.  Well, I do hope that Mass Effect 2 gets positive praise on the PS3 also.  Been playing it recently.  It really is epic to me.  I will say I have a FPS fan bias that makes me particularly enjoy it though.  It isn't an FPS, but still I get to play it like an FPS.

By this, I mean more 360 only folks will be more willing to highlight the flaws of FF13 when it has no impact on them persay case in point, Gran Turismo 5.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

i haven't finished the game yet, because of this, its one FF game that i actually don't want to keep playing =[ (ignore my sig and avatar)

to me the worst thing was the character i don't mind the linearity since FFX was linear as well, but the characters are so uninteresting and the storyline is very uninteresting as well, to me Front Mission Evolved had better storyline and characters which is ironic since Square (or Eidos) wanted to leave the RPG elements of it and focus on action.

Can I ask why you find the characters uninteresting? I was refreshed by the different kinds of characters the game had with opposing personalities clashing, the headstrong woman with the whiny boy, the chirpy but mysterious girl with the concerned father, when they split up it felt like they had their own importance in the storyline and it was very interesting to see how they developed together as characters.  Don't see how they are any less interesting than cast's from the previous games.

you should play the older games before saying that.

they're very shallow, being stereotypical whiny and "Headstrong woman" like you said is very very shallow, they don't develop at all, hope whines from the start of the game till the moment i left it, and Vanille is just "O HAI!" the whole time , and fang for some reason cares way too much about her (i mean Way way too much, as if she was her daughter or something, but in reality they barely met) , and Lightning is always "i shall finish this..even if costs me my (something) " , and to be honest i don't really know what they actually want from all this "Focus" thing, and how amazingly cliche every villian turn out to be.... well to be honest i can write about this all day, but it still doesn't change the fact that it was messy storyline with uninteresting everything.

also i remember you mentioning this being your first RPG , well damn you picked the worst game to start with this amazing genre.

I think the Japanese audience felt somewhat the same way (not saying that 1.8-1.9 million sales is bad) but its because thats all it sold compared to past FF games and i think its also the lowest-selling FF game over there (correct me if im wrong).

If you are one of the FF Faithful, then no backlash is acceptable, even if its on the Zeebo. Its a sin.

it's the lowest selling there since final fantasy 4.

FF's been going on a downward trend sales wise in japan there since 7 though. With the exception of 10 (my favorite XD)

someone could argue quality, some could argue they just don't like FF as much, or argue both.

I argue, idc

I remember him playing all of them atleast FF7 and after... and him loathing 8. After he beat FFXIII

Gilgamesh. You have my respect.

People go around calling us haters but they just, for some reason, can't see that this a horrible game. And defend it as if it was the second coming of Jesus.

Honestly, if there's one thing FFXIII taught me, it's that it helps me know who here on VGC has decent taste in games.

It's not even in my nature to hate on games, but this game left me so  bitter and disappointed (and trust me I'm the biggest FF there is) that I feel obligated to let everyone know what kind of garbage this game is.

If it was released on PS3 alone and was the same as it was now, I'd be the first to take a shit on the game.
