Friday for me too...

And Maxwell... you joining us tonight for some erm Bondage?

Yeah I really wish you European guys didn't have to wait on these games, they're pretty awesome

And sure I'm down for a few games

MaxwellGT2000 - "Does the amount of times you beat it count towards how hardcore you are?"

Wii Friend Code - 5882 9717 7391 0918 (PM me if you add me), PSN - MaxwellGT2000, XBL - BlkKniteCecil, MaxwellGT2000

SPOILER ALERT!!!!

beat it  on thursday, so many questions!!! and theres definetly going to be a anotherthe only thing that I didn't like was that the supposed main plot was thrown out the window(somewhat) you're first exploring these vortex's that absorb any psynergy, then all of a sudden you're facing this new advanced city who plans on drowning the world in darkness and you still don't really know what's behind the vortex phenomena.(if I'm getting the story right)

though it's nice that the added in new adepts(dark adepts...I hope we have a character in the next one)

what really shocked me is that Alex is still alive(though I did expect this) but I wonder how he survived.

does anyone else think Amiti might be the son of Alex?

What i like about the game:

each weapon has their own skill set enabling more skill attacks as you use the weapon(I think it's pretty sweet that you get both the gia blade and sol blade in this game)

Summoning sequences are AWESOME

the story was good, shows a  great sense of loss as many people die!!!

Challenging final boss, breezed through the final bosses of 1&2, had a problem with this boss  and all my characters were lvl 50(plus)

every djinn have there own visual characteristics(Pewter is by far the cutest/funniest imo)

As far as I know about the previous characters:

Issac: lives on top of what was Vale/mount aleph with mattew(main character)

Garet: also lives near Mount Aleph with his son Tyrell

Jenna: Mother of Mattew, lives in Kalay

Felix: left his hometown hasn't been seen since

Piers: Sails around the world observing he effects of golden sun

Ivan:??? only thing the game tells us is he's the father of Karis

Mia: Mother of both both Rief and Nowell, I believe she lives in Imil

Sheba: ???

Kadren: travels with the new characters, also observes the effects of golden sun

What i like about the game:

each weapon has their own skill set(I think it's pretty sweet that you get both the gia blade and sol blade in this game)

so much I want to talk about, but I'll wait until more people play and beat the game.

I still think GS:TLA was a tad bit better(being my favorite GS atm) but I would give this a 10/10!!! starting a new game!!!

I'm going to give my brutally honest opinion of this game :(

I played and loved the first two games when I was younger and I, oddly enough, liked the second game more then the first haha.

Dark dawn, however, isn't a very good game I don't know honestly if nostalgia has blinded so many people ( i was blinded too for like the first five hours), but the further I play into this game the more I just want to put it down and play the second one again.

Just for reference im 13 hours into the game so i think I've progressed far enough to give it a pretty fair opinion.

The Good

* The story is pretty decent and lives up to the standards the first two games pretty good :)

*I've really been enjoying alot of the areas and the art style used to create this game

* It feels like a goldensun game which is a breath of relief for anyone worried about that

The Bad

* This game is easy....and when I say easy I mean it. Even though you have all this cool psyenergy, djinn to use and summons to summon you don't need to use any of them...just hit the attack button every fight and thats it. The enemys health is a joke and it makes me want to cry. My people will be hitting for 90 damage with just thier weapons and the enemy will only have 150 hp....thats two hits... and you have four people in battle at one time this game is not balanced at all.

*This game is to easy.... I know I just said that but this time I'm going to talk about the puzzles because anyone who has played the other golden sun games knows that there are alot of puzzles you're suposed to solve with your psyenergy but most (not all) puzzles in this game are stupidly easy and guess what? if you actually find a puzzle that you can't figure out (which doesn't happen) they actually give you a psyneregy that tells you what you need to use to solve the puzzle....it just kills it for me.

I really wanted to like this game and I know I'll still beat it because I love the world of weyard so much that I want to know the whole story but when compared to the other two games this one is just horrible I hope the next one they make actually has a little bit of difficulty to it :(

This is all my opinion of course so please don't hate on me for it

Must have more spoilers!

I would have gotten it but my ds screen broke off. I am waiting for the 3ds before I can play more ds games.

@ lolzmahballz

Nostalgia can go both ways though. Someone who loved the first two games when they were younger and let the hype take over when DD was announced might be destined to be disappointed, even if the game is of equal quality of its predecessors.

The difficulty was my biggest issue as well. The game was a bit more dialogue heavy than I remember the first two being, but it didn't really bother me. Amazing battle system, amazing puzzles, vibrant graphics, etc. The feeling that the game was one small piece of a greater whole didn't really bother me...partly because it makes me hopeful that another game is coming soon, and partly because it gives the feeling of a massive Golden Sun mythos.

regarding GS:DD difficulty, yes it was easy but so were GS 1&2, the only time I got game over was in GS:TLA facing the alternative boss Dullahan(in my first playthrough...didn't even die in the first one)

true, GS:DD wasn't heavy with the puzzles, and they were quite easy, and if you still didn't get the puzzle you had that "insight" psynergy move.(lol) I think Camelot were were also trying to appeal to a new market  as GS:DD was pretty light on golden sun's previous events and the encyclopedia was there to give a little more detail on past events/characters.

I think golden sun 4 will be what golden sun: the lost age was to golden sun; longer, a deeper story,(hoping to see felix or his child) more puzzles, sidequest, etc
