Up YOY? But last weeks sales last year was well over 1.5 million, and this year its set to be down 20-25% with Japan added in worldwide. I'm sorry, but its quite heavily down YOY as it has been for the last months.

Ugh, yeah! Americas let me down.

Well, I hate to be one of those "UNDETRAKEDZ!!" losers, but after last month, there's always NPD, :P. And Nintendo shipments. So there's still hope...

For now, though, looks like I messed up big time.

Wii went up in Americas after BF last year because relative to it's pre-BF sales BF week was mediocre at best and there were almost no good deals for the Wii. Whereas IIRC the week after BF last year there were some pretty amazing deals, I think a $100 giftcard at Walmart.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

That's true, but I didn't quite expect Wii to fall this much. Still clinging on to the NPD ray of hope though, :D.

Look at the Wii sales in the link, people! It's up YOY! I'm gonna get this right!

Hey, not to be depressing or anything, but let's not be pre-emptive. I want you to be correct as much as you do, but instead, look a t the actual data from today. Then you'll see how close you are

Black Friday last year was also shortly following the release of NSMBWii and the first Wii price cut, this probably made a huge difference in BF sales last year compared to this year! All in all, given that the Wii has been outsold worldwide several weeks this winter/fall and consistently outsold in Japan this year it is having a stellar holiday season!

The DS though, the DS is what shocks me. I truly wonder how high it could climb if no plans on the 3DS were forthcoming! Jeez!

I just realised that the PSP has sold ony 4 million less than the Wii in the EMEAA territories. Why is it widely regarded as a failure again?

Software.

Hey man, perhaps you'll tell me this is wrong, but...

Is it just me or is this showing me that the Wii has sold 14.4mil WW this year and the 360 10.7?

If that's the case then the 360 is in 3rd with the Wii 3.7mil ahead of it, not 2-3mil behind as I expected...

It's not wrong, but, for comparison, the weeks starting the year have been made 1 day away from the last year, even if starting the year, for example, from 2 Jan makes more sense than starting from 26 Dec. In general, we'll start with 2 Jan, so a huge holiday week from last year's discounted, the one pulling the Wii 900k ahead this year.

That's a very confusing answer, but it still means the Wii is/will be by the end of the year ahead!

Okay, how about this, :P? For comparison purposes, the Wii is starting the year a week earlier than it's supposed to. And since that week was huge for the Wii, it's significantly higher. It'll end a week too early too (and, hopefully for this prediction, that'll be a terrible loss, :D).
