By Sony numbers, the Ps2 had shipped 117 million by end of Q1 2007. (http://www.scei.co.jp/corporate/data/bizdataps2_e.html)

By VGChartz numbers, it has sold 24.8 million since then. Now, the expected "sold" numbers from ioi at end of Q1 2007 seems to be 113.8 million (current number minus the amount of sold since then).

Now, the 113.8 million number is clearly about spot on. So it's only the 24.8 million that can be over- or undertracked.

How largely would you expect that to be overtracked? By 2 million (8%)? 3 million (12%)? I doubt it's near 10% myself, but I guess it's possible.

Goddd, handhelds vs home console. It may be the best selling device (because several people have more than 2/3 DS? But sames goes for PS2) but the best selling home console will be and always be the PS2, that's what matters.

Nevertheless the PS2 is undertracked, but DS might pass the PS2 by April/May.
