Ps3 in Americas next year is completely f***** up if they dont drop the price it will die like Psp... Americans dont care about Ps3 , only Latin Americans but even there Mexico is like 60% of the market and its a Xbox Land.

Sony really screw things this Gen , they lost the bigger markets for Wii and 360.

Bigger yea but by a small margin dude. EMEAA is growing more than NA.

Wii: 4th xmas in a row serving crow.lol.

2011 will definitely be the year were the Wii is domed again.

People never learn =)

Only people who say wii is doomed are the nintendo fans. I haven't seen anyone else say that here.

You're joking, right?

No, only times I have seen that it has been done by a nintendo-fan on the slightest negative thread about anything related to nintendo.

I should be happy about DK and the huge HW numbers but seeing the minor boost that Metroid: Other M got makes me only semi-happy overall...

Metroid Other M is on the top 200? O.o

No, it isn't...T_T

Then how do you know how much it sold?

If you look up games in the database and check their sales you get a graph showing it's weekly performance.

Nintendo fans say it to mock all the other folks who say it.  And you don't have to say "Wii is doomed" verbatim to say that the Wii is doomed.  Hell, look at leo j's thread about Wii coming in third this holiday.  If that's not doom and gloom, I don't know what is.

Yeah, but those graphs are very annoying to see¬¬

I have to see first the last week sales then calculate the difference for this week.

Above: still the best game of the year.

That is his guess. Nothing more, nothing less. I don't see any of that "doomed" crap on that kind of prediction.

I have to say I'm more impressed for this than anything else on the list:

15#
New Super Mario Bros. (DS)
Nintendo
237 180,775 9,046,822

Why's that surprising?

Maybe because it is 5 years old?

Uhh...but it's a Mario game?

Ms screwed up this gen.

Kinect, slim, halo reach didn't make it rocket pass ps3 in EMEAA and Japan its all PS3 land over there and if they don't cut the price next year they will die.....

see how stupid that sound?

But the difference in EMEAA is not nearly as big as the one in the Americas (or UK, but it's not nearly as important). Japan is more valid as an example, but even then, the gap isn't as big.

I won't whine I'll just put it bluntly, these GT5 NA sales are a collossal disappointment.

In the GT5 Sales Predictions Thread the "AVERAGE" Prediction came in at -- 740K

Much lower than expected.

Ps3 hardware is ok....worldwide it'll do more than last years black friday, but thats no big deal because it had GT5 launch this year.

DKCR Sales make me happy!

Hopefully GT still has enough power to leg it out in NA....we'll find out in the coming weeks.

Yeah, I gotta say I thought and hoped that GT5 would punch a bigger hole in the Americas market. Still doing good but not as good as Black Friday could have potentially made it.

All in all, its doing fairly well for a franchise that no one cares about.

Metallicube; Oh, you mean like the constant "software draught", "its not in a decline, just wait till holidays", "just wait for -insert title of savior game here- to arrive"? Everyone whines, get off your high horse. You yourself threatened to leave the site on the basis that the PS3 was sold in more markets. Now that's whining. Sorry for being so blunt, it had to be said.

Haha, man do people love to hold my quotes against me or what! I must really say some things that hit some nerves or something.. Unless that's just what everyone does here.

What I said about Wii sales was true though, was it not? Wii did have a software draught of system movers for 2010 up until recently.

I was merely dissapointed in the disparity of the sales which seemed to favor PS3 just because it was available in more markets, so at the time I assumed this was going to be the way it was every week, considering the PS3 recieved such a major boost out of nowhere. I may have overreacted, I admit.

Fair enough. These emerging markets have a glaring weakness though; they have a very small percentage of population that can actually afford luxury items such as consoles and even those who can afford them are culturally impaired against wanting to purchase one. The adjustments were very longterm, I don't think the week-to week numbers will be greatly affected by them to be honest.

If the disappointment lay in the fact that the tracking was overall incosistent and unprecise, I kind of share your grief, for a tracking site, precision is paramount.

I did not intend to ride you that hard, I just get tired of the whole "war" sometimes and some sides claiming the moral high ground. That said, I think you're an outstanding member and I enjoy your posts, especially the fact that they are mostly well reflected and has some thought behind them. Too many people are going by their days with "lulz, horrible sales", "lol, told you so, eat crow manwhore!" etc.

So what? if you put thos 2 region together it almost cancels out NA.

But thats not the point how can selling less than the competition in 1 region make it "die" or "fuked'......seriously think about that?
