The greatest impact Harry Potter had in that regard was changing the way bestsellers were rated, because the "serious" authors were getting their asses handed to them by a kids book, but that is the limit of Harry's broader influence, as good as the series is

They belong to different generations... Haven't seen all Star Wars movies, but I did love the ones I saw. Like it's been said, star wars changed cinema, harry potter got a whole generations of kids reading, but that wasn't thanks to the movies.

I voted Harry Potter, and I don't like HP.

Well... I tried to Watch the old ones from SW 3x, and I can't like it, but I do respect the series . I believe Star Wars was released at the right moment, that's why created a hugh fanbase and evolved the cinema.

At this point, all I can think about this movies is the poor story, that's why i couldn't watch more than 30 min of it.
