Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Because 360 is selling better in Japan? Amerians buy alot of 360 because its american product. The only neutrals here are Europe, there even your precious 360 is selling.

A tiny amount of Xbox 360's sales in America might have to do with it being an American product but I have never heard that line before and I could not imagine it being a major factor.  I think it has something to do with some people in America liking the games that come out on the 360.  I mean, people seem to be more likely to buy the DS, Wii, and PS2 in America and those are not American products.  There is no "Buy American" popular program in America that I am aware of.  I know Wal-Mart used to have ads with that theme buy abandoned it because Wal-Mart knew they could be a more profitable company by selling many products from Asia.

Yes, this might be a shock, but Nintendo and Sony videogames are much more popular than M$ games in America.  In fact, to the best of my knowledge, Nintendo has been the overall market leader in America since the mid-1980s.

In America, fun and value are far more important than American company crap when it comes to videogames.  I am not sure but I think Apple, Atari, and 3DO were made by American companies and none of those systems are still around because outside of two of Atari's systems, they are bombed in America.

Never, ever heard people buy a X360 because it was American.

Beyond that, no one would EVER, EVER buy a X360 because it's made by Micro$oft.

People buy the X360 because it's the dominant (atleast this gen) Western software system. The level of western software is more staggering than most any other system, ever. Because of that, it's overcoming the hurdles of being a MS product.

And as Bod already pointed out, the X360 has already outsold last year, with 3 weeks left. I expect it to hit 8m at the end of this year. After this year, I'd expect another increase to 8.5-9.5m for 08, due to another price drop and good software.

However, unlike the PS3, the X360 will sell at a profit, and actually make the company money :)

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

well, to be correct, if console`s 2nd year sales doesn`t pass it`s lifetime sales, isn`t that mean, that console FAILED?

*snipped remainder of mindless drivel*

Nice way to change your story in mid-thread.  Gee, I wonder if you started this thread *knowing* the 360 is a failure.  You just had to get your facts in-line to prove your statement since we are all blisfully unaware.  You, biased?  Nah, not possible.

I hate trolls.

Systems I currently own:  360, PS3, Wii, DS Lite (2)
Systems I've owned: PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, Saturn, 3DO, Genesis, Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, GBA, GB, C64, Amiga, Atari 2600 and 5200, Sega Game Gear, Vectrex, Intellivision, Pong.  Yes, Pong.

PS3:
Sony Mar-2008 - i expect 10,57 mln.
Sony Mar-2009 - i expect 25,32 mln. -> around 30 mln. MORE

X360:
Microsoft Mar-2007 - 10.94 mln.
Microsoft Mar-2008 - i expect 18,93 mln. -> NOWHERE NEAR CLOSE TO 30 mln. LESS

And what, pray tell, are you judging these numbers by?  Surely you have some insider knowledge that we don't have?  No, we should just believe you, because you are completely unbiased and just looking at the numbers and the trends, right?

At least give a REASON for your estimations, that way you can seem like you have a legitimate prediction.
