Ha! Japan will put things about even, but adjustments wouldn't be significant, hard to believe PS3 came anywhere near close to 360 in Americas on BF. EMEAA could be a diff matter though. I think junel is giving it more credit than it deserves and trying to rub something in someones faces that isn't actually that insulting ... I expected PS3 to win this week by like, 200k.

Comes down to Japan.  Should be close.  Predictable win for PS3 in Europe, but 360 dumptrucked in NA

BOOM!  FACE KICK!

EMEAA well short of what I expected from GT5, both in SW and HW. I was spot on with NA PS3 numbers. Japan numbers are going to be well off the pace for GT5 too (based on Media Create). So for once it's everywhere other than NA letting PS3 down.

Good call those who called it.

The big question is: were those 1.5 million EMEAA pre-orders completely wrong? Or did the less than stellar reviews of GT5 actually cause people who had it on pre-order to back out, and those who didn't have it on pre-order decide not to buy? Or will Week 2 also be massive for GT5 in EMEAA? Or, all joking aside, will we see some adjustments?

Me, I think lower than expected review scores put a lot of people off.

Dang i was wrong, If the Japan preview wasn't way off Ps3>360 was sure but NO!!!!

anyways good sales If PS3 gets adjusted later Im sure the GAP would't be significant like right now.

I will have to agree with that.  I don't even have a PS3, but from all the talk I've been hearing, GT5 was supposed to be THE game for PS3... and the reviews were mediocre for a game of that caliber.  NFS Hot Pursuit had better reviews, and although I do enjoy NFS HP, I would have expected a game that took 5 times longer to make would at least be its equal if not better.  My coworker told me that they just recycled a lot of PS2 type graphics for many of the non premium cars in GT5, which is pretty sad considering all the time they had to work on it.  I say why not shorten that car list by a few hundred, since no one cares about the 50 different Honda Civics and crap you can drive in real life, and focus more on better gameplay when you're racing cars that people would actually aspire to drive in real life.  But that is just my opinion on the matter.

/fail

The driving is like real life and the gameplay is the best there is (even reviewers who gave lower grades agreed), they remade PS2 GT4 cars in HD counterparts, affecting the looks... but the physics stay top notch and unrivalled.
