But yeah, I see PGR coming out in 2011 though. Alan Wake 2, probably 2012. As for Left 4 Dead, there's a PC version as well, and with the solid shooter market on the PS3, I don't see why Valve would ignore it, now that Portal 2's multiplat.

To be honest, if PGR5 is announced, I just need one more announcement of a core title, and I'm set for 2011. All that's left is Nintendo's games.

But Prototype 2 exclusive JUST to battle InFAMOUS 2? Shouldnt M$ purchase something .. bigger to try to battle Killzone 3, LBP2, The Last Guardian, Twisted Metal, Resistance 3, Motorstorm 3, SOCOM 4 and possibly Uncharted 3?

I don't know if that's sarcasm to add to your first point, or whether you're serious.

I don't see how Gears 3 and PGR5 could do that.

Yes, those 2 games plus one more core title would be all I need for 360 in 2011. Factor in Kinect, PS3 titles, and Wii titles, and I'm good.

M$ probably has a few surprises, I hope.

I'm sure they do.

On your GTA5 note, according to Take 2 the sales of GTA4 were split 50/50 between the PS3 and the 360 back in March of last year. It's likely our tracking is slightly off and the 360 version is overtracked and/or the PS3 version is undertracked despite the 360 exclusive advertising and the "exclusive" DLC.

GTA4 sold more on the PS3 in Japan.
GTA4 sold more on the PS3 in EMEAA regions.
GTA4 sold more on the 360 in America.

GTA5 isn't going exclusive to anything if it releases this Generation.

Same goes for Prototype probably. There is a 200k unit split between both versions of the original, with PS3 winning in EMEAA and 360 leading in NA. There is a big base for this type of game on the PS3 too, with inFamous being able to sell 1.7 Million units.

 

My choices for 360 next year...

Gears 3
Halo Combat Evolved HD Remake.
Halo 2 HD Remake. (With both maybe releasing as a collection)
Halo Wars 2 or Age of Empires 4.
Left 4 Dead 3
Multiple Kinect games...

I think everything on that list is [posible exept Left 4 dead 3 and gta5. My reason for l4d3 is that Valve have become very welcome to the ps3 now. Int he past the only reason they kept there stuff exclusive was that they hated the ps3 so much. now that thats out the way it should go multi plat. as for gta5 it would be way too much of a risk. yes the 4th sold more on the Xbox but i find it highly unlikely that it would be able to sell the extra 7 million that the ps3 sold.

Not at all, if it's exclusive it'll be because someone has offered them money. No other reason, even then, why would they give it to the PS3, when GTAIV sold better on X360 ... such a bad business decision to make. Rockstar won't be thinking about yesterday (aka last gen) sales.

I highly doubt GTA 5 will be an exclusive on any platform. Timed exclusivity for dlc again may occur, but Microsoft will have to throw a lot of money at Rockstar to be able to make it a full on exclusive.

Actually, they still exist, only now they're called Robot Entertainment, I think.

Turns out they're working on a mystery game, and it says their job is to maintain the AoE franchise as well as Halo Wars, so...

Just as a side note. MS are apparently still wanting to be big on PC. Hence Fable 3 also releasing there at some poin. Kinect too!

Exactly, but I didn't mention that since I already have to CGI (regarding L4D3).

Although I agree regarding AoE, apparently there's already Age of Empires Online, and I personally doubt it'll make its way to Xbox 360. But HW2, definitely agree.

MS will just keep buying timed exclusives on DLCs, which is fine if you ask me, they don't have that many first party games or 3rd party exclusives  at this point and my original prediction of a shit ton of shovelwares on Kinect and Move is already becoming true not even very long after release, it's basically a timed DLC exclusive box with a lot of upcoming shovel plague that the Wii had for the past 4 or so years. Those games will start to drag down the overall meta or gameranking scores on the HD systems by a lot in the future.

 

PS: There is noway an Alan Wake 3 will be out anytime soon since it took 5 years just get the first one out the door, next one would be something like 3 years away if you ask me since they really don't have that many people in the studio.
