The only people that care about those games will be long gone by then ;) Those people won`t care about the games we loved :( Except for official remakes and maybe a cult following. Kinda sad :(

People still play this game called "chess." Not only do they play it, but they don't even play it on "retro game night." Same goes for some game called "poker."

People have been playing essentially the same Pokemon game for 14 years. Nintendo basically invented the platformer genre with Donkey Kong and have been milking it for 29 years.

And how exactly have card games and board games evolved?

PCs and consoles have evolved quite a bit over the last 20 years, and I very much doubt we'll be playing videogames in 2070 that are controlled largely the same way they were on the N64. The change is already happening with Kinect being the most radical departure from traditional gaming equipment since Nintendo started the motion control wars, which I think will only escalate how every company tries to bring new ways of interacting with their games.

In 60 years, the traditional controller that we know now, will have been replaced and our interactions with games will be much more sophisticated. OoT will be so very, very dated then.

They will be pirated and playable on a standard pc far before the copy right expires, frankly I don't see how that being any different then what will happen when the copyright does expire, it's like snes and genesis games, you can download an emulator and 500 games in about 10 minutes and it's playable even on the lowest computer, and a few people have made (bad) homebrew games using them as a base, so yea

Card games and board games have evolved. But that is irrelevant. Controls are also irrelevant. Both chess and poker can be played with touch screen and motion controls. Independent and major developers have and will continue to profit from games that are free from copyright.

These "dated" games are still making people money. People also seem to enjoy playing them. I don't understand why this is a hard concept to fathom.

Sweet!  So when i'm old as balls I will be able to play any current games for free....hope i'll be able to hold off pooping my pants long enough to play them!
