360 was in huge shortage for 4 or 5 months and had no price drops until about 2 years, where as ps3 has been in ample supply since launch and has had not one but 2 100 dollar drops as well as numerous second year 360 title ports to pad it's lineup early. The ps3 is in contrast a failure.

LOL, Origin, have you noticed, that in your link ps3 has only 6,386,511 sold? While now it`s over 7 mln. =)

Anyway, by the end of 2007 PS3 is doing better, then x360 by the end of 2006. FACT.

except the ps3 has about 25 more weeks before it has been released for 57 weeks everywhere.

x360 sold 7.7 million in 57 weeks throughout Europe, Japan, and North American

Sony has sold 7.13 million been released 55 weeks in North America and Japan and 35 weeks in Europe.

Sony will be at 8 million by christmas. They wont even need the other 20 weeks worth of Europe sales that everyone is giving microsoft and taking from sony.

Having said that. If i had been told a year ago sony would only be at 8 million the christmas I would not have believed you.

 That chart is not updated, all three systems have less sales then what they presently have.

Too bad that developers and consumers don't give a rat's ass about staggered timelines. The fact is that if you launch late, you have to catch up to ever become a dominant force in the market. Thus far, the PS3 is not doing that and is showing few signs of ever catching the 360.

I am sure final fantasy, kz2, gran turismo, mgs4 will do nothing to help the ps3

I don't get you, are you against the PS3 or do you like it?

Just as a price drop, Splinter Cell, Fable 2, Ninja Gaiden, Too Human, Halo Wars, etc. will do nothing to help the 360.

Two of the games you listed might not even launch in 2008. If we're bringing up 2009 games, it opens up another can of worms (Gears 2, for example).

To put it clearly, until the PS3 starts consistently outselling the 360, it is showing no signs of ever catching it. I'm getting really tired of "JUST YOU WAIT UNTIL (fill in name of game here) LAUNCHES! PS3 WILL RULE ALL!"

After 14 months, I would think that Sony fans could come up with a slightly-less tired (and untrue) argument.
