Forums - General - Mark Wahlberg Confirms Starring Role in 'Uncharted' Movie!!

I thought Brendan Frasier was Nathan Drake in the Uncharted Movie!  And I thoght the Uncharted move was called "The Mummy".

While I would prefer Nathon Fillion... this might work I suppose

All I am hoping is that it might draw more attention to the games, but with big name "talent" it should certainly get some crowds interested.

Of course, they might be trying to take the film a different route from the games, but I really hope not

Max Payne movie is one of the worst movies and most boring "action" movies of all time, i wonder how much boring Uncharted can get, its going to be interesting seeing boring Mark being unfunny and uninteresting.

Mark Walberg is decent, hes not a one sided actor as we all think, hes really good in the Other Guys. and it seems like it'll be a cool movie, but it will be compared to Indy so i needs to be in that league of film imo.

Whalberg isn't that bad really. Hes a bit less metro sexual than Nathan...but I guess they can make him out to be a tough guy in the movie.

"Say hi to you mother for me!" BOOM!!!!

First reaction: Crap..

Marky Mark haters, haven't you seen Boogie Nights?  The Departed?  Whalberg is a good actor.  He's the least of your worries.  Worry about the script, production, characterrization, etc.  The material Whalberg has to work with is gonna be what dictates whether this movie is good or not.  Remember Michael Keaton as Batman?  Nobody thought he could pull it off.  The actor is only as good as his source material.
