Honestly I read all that and logically can see why 50mhz would be inferior but watching the video's I couldn't really tell much of a difference. Maybe because the video's were grainy but I couldn't see much of a difference. While most european TV can handle 60Mhz as you point out their is still a segment of the market that can't .
generally 50hz games have these horrid borders at the top and bottom of the screen and play slower with slower music.
A perfect example is the original Sonic on the Mega Drive/Genesis:
an even worse example is the NES Castlevania:
It usually isn't as noticable when you don't play them side by side. For example I have Gunstar Heroes on the VC and I didn't notice it was slow until I saw my friend playing it on his 360 and realised that the music was considerably faster.
@lordtheknight oh come on now, people just started to wise up on the Party games. THe Mario Party series only declined just recently. THey were selling from the original all the way up to 6 or 7. thats a lot of sequels. So I stand by my original point. Im not arguing that these allstar games arent good, but really??? how many times on how many different systems has these games been released??? Wouldnt Mario fans have already have these games in some capacity or another. Will people just keep buying the exact same Mario games over and over??? im going with yes. Your not even getting Mario World. to each his own, enjoy it. I'll be around when we get an original Mario title.
Seriously guys its just a collectors disc Nintendo themselves said it was a limited run ~_~ and really only for those that missed those titles back in the day, still I guess upping it to 60hz wouldn't be a big deal but you know they didn't put a team to doing this right? Probably a couple of coders making the original run off a Wii disc and thats about it.

Ok, so why not just keep it 60Hz like say every other region? This is a nothing fix for a couple of coders even. I get why they might not want to risk bugs by re-doing some code, but this is Mario. The money will come back and then some.

That it will, really not downplaying it at all, at least not trying to, but eh the game really isn't the priority sadly its more about the collectors package than the game lol

Makes it worse in my eyes. A collector's edition should have a higher standard of quality applied, not lesser.
