Forums - Sales - 2010's Best Selling New IPs

Wii Party was supposed to replace Mario Party so I guess it's a semi new IP, yeah still new I guess.

BTW Everyone can now download Alan Wake for digital download on their 360's for $29.99 - so combined with the cheap retail price and now available for download it should easily break 1.0 million over the next few months.

It's just that simple.

Boo! Wii Party isn't a new IP.

Heavy Rain wins!

Heavy Rain is a part of the Fahrenheit series.

Boo! Darksiders wins!

Darksiders is a distant relative of the Zelda series

Boo! Dante's Inferno wins!

Dante's Inferno is a close relative of God of War

Boo! Bayonetta...

Actually, that's just an unofficial Devil May Cry ripoff...

Boo! Kinect Adventures...

No wait, those look like Miis on the cover...

Some time later

How to Train Your Dragon is the best selling new IP of the year!

Boo Zhu Zhu pets is more orignal

I think Kinect Sports and Dance Central will be knocking some games off the list in the coming weeks.

Kinect Adventures jumps from 6th to 4th
Dante's Inferno drops from 4th to 5th
Bayonetta drops from 5th to 6th
Sports Champions goes up one to 8th
Alan Wake drops down to 9th
Art Academy continues its rise to 13th

So three games cross 500k, Kinect Sport enters and Dark Void drops out. Nier looks to be also in its last week on the chart too

Wipeout: The Game is set to make the chart next week in case anyone is wondering

And thanks everybody who gave positive comments

Wow ZhuZhu pets sales are rising, I see it passing Blur.

Yes Sports champions beat Alan wake, but can Modnation Racers do it too?

Kinect Adventures for 2nd place this year

Nier to pass How to train your dragon and hang on desperately for 20th?

Yeah ZhuZhu should pass Blur next week

Modnation is starting to outsell Alan Wake now, PS3 version is equal to Alan Wake's 360 sales but it has PSP to push it over

and How to Train Your Dragon's weekly DS sales will stop Nier from hanging on I think

If i'm not mistaken, Red Dead Redemption is a new IP, rockstar bought Red Dead Revolver from Capcom and just added something to the retail release. But this game is completely new.

Yay for Alan Wake, Bayonetta and Darksiders. Also yay for Nier: most underrated game of 2010.

Update

Wii Party crosses 2.5 million
KInect Adventures jumps from 4th to 2nd
Heavy Rain and Darksiders both drop 1
Sports Champions crosses a million and moves up to 7th
MAG drops to 8th

Alan Wake drops 1 to 10th
Art Academy crosses 750k to move from 13th to 11th
Kinect Sports jumps from 17th to 12th
God Eater goes into freefall dropping from 11th to 15th
Wipeout: The Games enters at 19th thanks to pretty epic legs
How to Train Your Dragon drops to 20th

and Nier drops out

Activision are now tied for most new IPs on the list with Sony

So overall a lot of movement this week

Update

How to Train Your Dragon drops back out of the top 20 this week
Wipeout drops to 20th but crosses 500k
Snipers continues to fall as it hits 19th
