i hate those fratboy jerks as well, besides doing what was mentioned above they also make a bunch of stats threads about how good there console of choice is doing, and then when they find out there console was not doing as good as they thought it was they just outright abandon the thread

Get a red one and what games will you get?

Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,

mario maker

new 3ds

yoshi woolly world

majora's mask 3d

I hope yes!

Above: still the best game of the year.

It probably will, because it's the cheapest. Period. If all three consoles were the same price, I doubt they would be doing as well as they have been. I originally  bought a Wii first, but if the 360 or PS3 were $250 at the same time then I would have gone with one of the HD consoles. Cheap sells.

Of course it will.

And haters gonna shut up for a while. Can't hear them already.

you are predicting what happens every year

Wii's only MAJOR competition this holiday will be the 360, which the Wii should edge out simply because Japan which will drag down the 360. PS3 has already had its Move addon released which didn't have much an impact, and only really has GT5 as a major holiday title.

Wii has quite a bit going for it, with games like Kirby, Epic Mickey, Michael Jackson, Just Dance 2, Wii Party, DKC Returns, also the red Wii bundle, and the usual holiday boost that usually favors Nintendo hardware.

Agreed! And I would like to add that the only thing missing for the Wii (this holiday) is a first party fitness game. But Wii Fit Plus is still selling very well, so Nintendo probably will release another one late next year.

I agree, but I just want to mention one thing.

PS3 outsold the 360 the debut week of Kinect in EMEAA, but Kinect was not released in the entire EMEAA region. Remember Kinect releases on November 18th in Asia, and everywhere else outside of Europe. Had the Kinect been released in those regions as well this week, the 360 would have seen a 20k boost, putting it marginally ahead of PS3. So next week, it will still be close between PS3/360 in EMEAA. PS3 doesn't quite have the sales dominance over the 360 in EMEAA like it does in Japan, and like 360 has in Americas.

Still worst case Wii matches PS3 sales in EMEAA, gets slightly lower sales in Japan then the PS3, and slightly lower sales in Americas and UK to the 360. It's still going to be first. GT5 and Kinect will only give marginal boosts to their respective consoles, and they won't be as big as the boost Wii gets in December.

P.S. didn't the Red SMBW Wii bundle come out this week in EMEAA? It came out in Americas, and on the 10 week countdown it said it's out in EMEAA.

You can already see Wii sales picking up, if the last few weekly reports on VGC can be trusted. There's certainly enough new and "evergreen" content for the Wii to dominate this holiday as well.

What will really be interesting is to see how well this affects games like Donkey Kong Country Returns and Disney Epic Mickey.

No, the Wii doesn't sell because its the cheapest.

The N64 launched at $249, and the PlayStation launched at $299, did the N64 sell, no.

The GCN launched at $199, and was $99 for most of its lifespan. The PS2 launched at $299, and didn't become $99 until last year. Did the GC sell? No.

The Wii doesn't sell because of the innovation and appeal. It doesn't sell because of the price (though that does play a role)
