This looks brilliant. Hopefully, it'll be as good as the original which is my fave game of all time!

i have a question... the original is my 2nd favorite game. And the sequal despite being worse in every way, is still probably in my top 20.
What do you think about the aesthetic? I know that they tried to unify. the general theme of the look and its copper and black I think instead of bluey and black. Also to me, it looks like it could have a case, of the prequel looking a bit too pretty (city scenery-wise) compared to the sequals. like the star wars prequels.
But to me beings that it's being created in completely different hands. It's coming along as nice as I would have hoped (Though playing it obviously is the biggest thing). i'm no sure, how uhh consistant the story/universe will be with the originals. But, that doesn't bother me much as long as the one that is in this is interesting and has the deus ex style gameplay I love.
sorry for long rant. sorry if I used bad grammar too

Well the idea is that the world is going through a kind of technological renaissance. From what I've seen and from the dev talk at Eurogamer Expo, it does look to be a blend of old style Deus Ex with there own take on how the world is progressing and leading up to the style seen in the original. Personally I think it works and I like the direction they've taken.
The interface as well looks like an improved version of the Invisible War interface, which is more in line with how Warren Spector wanted it in the original (almost like a techno view of a human eye). It looks like it could work quite nicely, as it still seems to keep all the augs in place and retain an extra level of complexity not seen in IW.
Like you mentioned though, it can come across as too pretty when looking back at the original. There's not much anyone can do about that as you need to have cool graphics to sell the game. They explained it (kinda) in Star Wars as after the Empire took over things regressed (like a dark age of sorts). Not sure they can do that in this game, but I think it's just something people will accept as technological progression (in the real world).
I'm more worried that some of the augs in this game will come off as overly advanced. The augs in the original were very cool, but they never went too over the top. There was a time and place for each augmentation. In this I think they may be too advanced for a prequel with multiple kills and punching through walls etc. However, if it makes the game more fun and opens it to a larger audience, I don't mind.
As for gameplay and story, I honestly think it'll be more consistent than Invisible War was. They've consulted with members of the original team and NPCs react far more to your actions and conversation choices. There are far more consequences, and the general atmosphere seems more in lieu of the original Deus Ex then IW ever did. We'll find out next year though!
Wow, that was longer then I expected, lol. Hope that answers your question. And your grammar was fine :)
