Looks like Nintendo and Microsoft need plan B for Europe ;)

Excellent work Darth Zlejedi

I have sent my apprentice to America, hopefully we will see results soon!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

it seems since kinect with Cod combined can 't make 360 #1 in Europe it seems nothing will make it

Wow so close between the top 4! Exciting! Next week i guess the PS3 will come out on top, unless kinect sustains the boost even more

But Shio said that COD:BO had likely already sold 1 million... cause Europe is PC friendly.... >_>

You forget GT5 releases Black Friday week.

PS3 did more than 550k that same week last year.......

Yeah, forgot Black Friday. But i dont think GT5 will sell  a shitload of PS3 consoles. Most people that want GT5 allready own a ps3 (same with halo for example). Sure it will bump the sales up for 2 or 3 weeks a bit, but thats it.

Audio: Teufel System 5 THX @ Denon AVR 1910
Consoles: Homebrew Xbox 360 (500GB), Xbox 360 Slim (4GB) + Kinect, Homebrew Nintendo Wii, Homebrew Playstation 3 Slim (250GB)

Great numbers all round (well, apart from the runt of the litter that is the PSP), I love how at this time of year the sales for EMEAA or America independently are above the WW sales for each console from just a few weeks ago...

UK Hardware
Console Weekly (change) Total
X360 76,193 ( 109%) 5,501,684
DS 41,873 ( 26%) 11,792,528
Wii 34,877 (-13%) 7,224,738
PS3 33,920 ( 31%) 3,456,703
PSP 7,725 ( 21%) 3,858,542
PS2 1,317 ( 46%) 10,175,949
Total 195,905( 37%)

Check out 360 number for UK!!!! more than double PS3 and >Wii PS3. Quite incredible really that the rest of EMEAA overcame that gap to give the week to PS3 by 4K.

Not much to say about Kinect that hasn't already been said given the numbers were known prior to the chart being published.

I forgot about Black Ops as a factor in HW boost for the week. Impressive opening for Black Ops, and what a difference a year makes where MW2 opened higher on 360 in EMEAA, and now PS3 has it for Black Ops, albeit by the slimmest of margins. I can't see MW2 anywhere in the top 200, have I missed it?

While it's probably wise to wait for another week or so, I think it was always likely that Kinect would only really make a big splash in the UK.  I think Kinect will slow the amount by which the gap grows between PS3/360 in EMEAA but it won't stop or reverse it.   GT5 and this holiday season should seal the deal in EMEAA.

Kinect sales as reported are heavily skewed to US/UK and I don't think that will change - i.e. I don't think the device will take off longer term in EMEAA as a whole.  Move seems to be doing well in EMEAA still and overall PS3 momentum is very good and going by the numbers/trends there remains nothing much foreseeable that will change that.

Similarly I expect Kinect plus this holiday season to seal the deal in Americas as well, but the other way, putting 360 beyond chance of PS3 catching it.  I think it's been that way for a while but this should make it final.

Curious to see how the Wii performs.  So many seem to assume it's a gonner but I actually think it'll have a good holidays and will remain comfortably ahead worldwide LTD.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Not that I want to defend Shio, but it probably has.  The vast majority of regular PC FPS gamers don't buy at retail.  The number is for casual purchases - the hardcore will have bought it digitally for sure.  That's assuming they didn't pirate it of course.

no-one doing a YOY comparison for consoles?
