Nice links guys, i love a good documentary.
In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.
This one's only 13 minutes.
Isle of Flowers - Jorge Furtado, Brazil, 1989.
You'll learn a lot from this one. For example: "Tomatoes, unlike whales, chickens or Japanese, are vegetables."
I'm not ashamed to admit the I really enjoyed American Pimp (In reality, the very first DVD I ever bought! From Wal-Mart, no less!!) and Inside Deep Throat (the last documentary I watched--on Netflix).

Thanks for reminding me about another interesting documentary. In this case, they did not do their job (or did it all too well depending on your perspective) in covering various wars.
Militainment, Inc. - Documentary about war as entertainment. War reporting contains very little information and is designed to be consumable rather than informative. Covers the sterilizing of war imagery, pentagon involvement in media production, Video games with military roots, Vietnam Syndrome, etc.
Demon's Souls Official Thread | Currently playing: Left 4 Dead 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Magicka
Jesus Camp i thought that was a pretty scary documentary
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
- George Orwell, ‘1984’
Some good stuff here guys, keep it coming.
I'll post some of the episodes of the current series of Horizon that I thought were good too, you should also be able to catch them on iPlayer (in the UK, of course).

Just watched In the shadow of the moon. That was very good. Also re-watched Touching the Void to get ready for 127. The Cove is also very good.
But nothing quite compares to listening to David Attenbourgh's voice together with anything really.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
The Blue Planet is still unrivalled to the day in my opinion, the greatest David Attenborough series released. I have in on DVD somewhere

The other reason i find is some of the space documentaries, like the stephen hawking ones or universe, look abosolutely stunning in HD. |
I love Stephen Hawking's books, but I often find his documentaries disappointing. Especially his latest 'Stephen Hawking's Universe', I thought it largely just pandered to what people want to hear and not what should be heard, if that makes sense.
