Massive sales in NA for 360.

Ya got me.. I don't keep track of those types of games, especially on a Sony console. I wouldn't be surprised though.


There is indeed a Singstar Dance coming.  Not my thing but it came up in a thread about Just Dance on Wii and Dance Central on 360 as the PS3's own dance title.

360 actually started at $299/$399 for the Core/Premium as they were called back then.

As for that $199 thing, this gen has broke the rules on SOOOOOOOOO many things that the $199 principle doesn't really apply.  Best thing to do this gen is to continue to watch in awe as it simply rewrites all the rules.

Though you couldn't play with core model without buying memory stick so practically it was more than $299.

Good console sales all round really.  I'm a little surprised at 360 as I thought it would be a bit higher.  If the numbers are right then clearly more existing owners are buying vs new than I initially expected.  Move also seemed to get more demand for existing customers than expected.

I guess there were more 360/PS3 fans looking for a dose of the Wii on their platform of choice than might have been expected.

If sales keep rising up to December 25th then we're going to see a very strong set of sales all around.

Also, as expected, so far it doesn't look like Kinect/Move will tip any scales particularly one way or the other worldwide, but it may be too early to be sure.

Wii and 360 are both doing amazing considering that both Red Wii and Kinect are only out in 1 region. Red Wii releases in America and Japan next week so I expect a big boost...Kinect is out in Others next week so I expect a big boost for 360 as well. Wii and 360 should both be over 400K next week. I expect PS3 to be at about 370K next week.

Also why does America hate PS3 so much as its only 99K just missing the 100K mark. Also why is everyone saying that PS3 should be #1 the week ending November 27th? That is Black Friday week and clearly PS3 doesn't receive as much love as 360 and Wii in America. I know G.T.5 comes out on the 24th but will it be that big...? I wasn't on this site back in the PS1-PS2 gens so how much did Gran Turismo 1-4 boost PS/PS2 sales?

Theres a difference between corelation and causation. Being under $200 and getting over half the sales at that price point doesn't prove that a price point under $200 is a significant price point, especially once you factor in inflation and the memory cards which were practically compulsary.
