Ask Sega.... >_>

... i still love you *hugs dreamcast*

Going under is noted to having an effect on fanboys.  The sheer defeat either has someone remain a well-tempered loyalist, who can't boast about a console (without being laughed at), or they move onto another console and be annoying there.  Proof on this?  If I end up doing, as I had before, a "Atari Jaguar rules all" thread on here to hype Tempest 2000 and a few of the good games on it, and try to talk trash, it definitely has a humor effect.   Even if I am an Atari loyalist now, I can't be a fanboy.

Neh.. they screwed up since all those expenisve addons for the megadrive...

Hmm... I would end up missing Kevin Butler though if they did that.

You expect fanboys to be rational about motion controls?  Not likely

companies love fanboys because they buy all there products and free promote there products among friends and internet

I am sure they like respectful fans of their system and games.  However, fanboys are argumentative nerds that turn off people to a given console by their irrational attachment to it, and irrational hatred of a competing console.

when did fanboys started to grow in size anyway? Was it when t the Star Trek / Star Wars movies first appeared? I think console fanboys are tolerable compare to the Apple vs PC ones  (just an example)

fanboys have always existed just look at the mathematicians Cardano and Tartgiel, fanboys actually argued over weither or not Cardano was out of line for revealing Tartgiel's work with Cardano's chief Fanboy Ferrari staging a rediculous debate with Tartgiel over it, so fan boys are atleast 500 years old, I'd bet Plato and Aristotle had nice irrational fanboys.

I HAVE A DOUBLE DRAGON CAB IN MY KITCHEN!!!!!!

NOW A PUNISHER CAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You want them to get rid of their most dedicated fans because some people on an an internet forum are annoyed?

Sorry?

No matter how good something is there will always be people against it. You'll never get rid of fanboys. Its something thats part of human nature and everything has fanboys, from TV shows to music to sports teams and favorite cars. If you like something then its guaranteed there is someone who hates it and if you discuss that thing you like then you'll atract people who just want to mess with your opinions or who truely dislike that thing you like. Fanboys will never be abolished.

Ooo! I know! Make several really bad sequels to a franchise that has many fanboys! That's what SE did with FF and Star Ocean!
