Microsoft Kinect’s Creative Director, Kudo Tsunoda, recently revealed to BBC News that both LucasArts’ Star Wars Kinect exclusive and Turn 10 Studios’ Forza Kinect compatible title will not be hitting store shelves until the 2011 holiday season.

“We have a Kinect Star Wars game coming out for next holiday [Christmas 2011] … I think you could just easily imagine being a Jedi and using Kinect to make you feel you’re part of a Star Wars experience, building yourself up into a Jedi.”

“And another one next year is Forza, which is the best racing game of this generation of consoles… Those are the two games I’m most excited about.”

It seems like a Star Wars game would be more fun with Wii but especially Motion Plus or Move.  Maybe I just have a poor imagination but I certainly want to hold the lightsaber in my hand.

Forza Kinect is the dumbest thing ever.. Just hear me out. All racing games strive to use a percise steering wheel, but those lunatics think it will be fun to hold your arms out, and not use any gas. What the heck are they thinking!? Way to waste time. Just make Forza 4, not this terrible-ness no one wants. Besides the point, is that Kinect isn't even sensitive/percise enough to work well with a racing game. A controller is bad enough in all honesty. But I dunno if you know, it's extremely tiring to hold your arms like you're driving for long periods of time. Can't they incorperate Kinect in a different way to Forza, using it as a full on controller isa terrible idea.

And if you think I am hating, then do what I say. I love racing games, and it hurts me to know they are wasting a franchise with such idiocy. Well anyways, do this for 5 minutes. Hold up your arms like you have a steering wheel (10-2 position). Than pretend drive for 5 minutes. Now imagine that....ALL THE TIME! God forbid you enter in an endurance race. If you tried it, and think that isn't bad, do it for 15-20 minutes like most races. Yea, just made you flip....

After playing Kinect for an ample amount of time I think the Star Wars Kinect will be a blast. I also think that Forza comment is going to make this thread explode soon.

The same can be said of any Kinect game but if done right, it can be fun ( e.g Kinectimals from what I hear). With regards to accel/deccel, didn't they say something about expanding your hands to gain speed?
