A part of me wants them to be picked up by Activision, so we can put an end to the silly Rock Band/Guitar Hero competition and let the genre come back a bit, but I don't want them to be forced to milk their work...

I thought that was already happening?

How so?

I think Microsoft buying them would be way better than EA or Activision. Well other than the fact it would no longer be multi-plat which would suck because Activision would really go crazy with the Band games then.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

After their last flop, their doom was expected

Above: still the best game of the year.

What flop? Green Day? This was obviously decided way before Rock band 3 or Dance Central were out

You mean how are music games getting milked to death?

I know Rock Band isn't nearly as guilty as Guiter Hero, but come on, you can't say even Rock Band isn't getting milked for all it's worth.

I don't think Rock Band is being milked, how would you say that it is?

You're right, four full priced games in three years isn't milked at all.

Oh snap, forgot about the spin offs. Yeah, there's a bit of milking going on then, but they're still bringing new elements to the genre, and adding a hell of a lot of content in the process.

this is not really surprising since rock band 3 isnt doing so well but i think they should have waited and see how well dance central does since it was just released

This was decided before either game was released
