Wow!  Great sales indeed!  I haven't had the chance to play it yet but I definitely will be doing so this weekend!

The release of GoldenEye so close before it can't have helped.  Also, Wii60/PSWii consumers would probably tend to favour the HD version, and I'm not sure that there are a huge number of FPS fans who only own a Wii.  A further point is that sequels on the Wii tend to see diminishing returns - this seems particularly pronounced with annual sports updates, but it may apply to other genres too.

Also... because Wii's demographic, or at least the majority of it, isn't that inclined to Shooters like the PS3 and 360 fanbases are.

We really need to stop playing this game each time a big shooter comes out. It's really not that big of a deal, or even something that should be frowned upon. I mean, unless we want all three consoles to have the exact same demographics and tastes in gaming... but until then, I'll be celebrating each console's uniqueness in the industry.

The sales for Call of Duty games on the Wii are always low at first. They usually pick up in their 5th or 6th week.
