I loved Uncharted 2, but I found Drake's Fortune to be mediocre. I think the pacing is what killed it for me. Every time I got to a new area I would be forced to deal with waves of pirates. There were too many boring shooting segments. I did like the game near the end, though, when there were different enemies to kil. I thought it was pretty cool that both enemy types would either attack you or each other depending on who's closer.

The sequel, in my opinion, had just the right amount of gunplay and just the right amount of cinematic parts. I never felt bored playing it.

Exactly the same happened to me.

I finished DF about 5 or 6 times and enjoyed the hell out of them. I loved the whole concept of the game and I loved the Dead Space feeling out of that level by the end of the game. Keep in mind, though, that it was my first PS3 game and I played Among Thieves just some couple of weeks after that (I got my PS3 1 month before Uncharted 2 release)..

Anyway, I have to insist that as a gaming experience I enjoyed Drake's Fortune much more. I didn't like some plot decisions in the second game but hey, let us not be too picky, both games are top notch.

nah I liked the second more, though I think both games aren't really that great when you replay them.

The only thing I'd criticize U2 for is the slow pacing at the beginning of the game. I'd say It blows U1 away after that though.
