This is a thread to discuss which version of the game is better, and why. I've just started playing GoldenEye Wii and I'm enjoying it, but I haven't decided yet which title I like better....which do you prefer and why?

Not sure, I haven't played the Wii GoldenEye. But it looks much better than the N64 game.

I prefer the N64 version but the Wii version is very well-made compared to past non-Goldeneye 007 titles.

I think simply based on the memories I have of the N64 GoldenEye that it will be the version that will always be most dear to my heart. I played through the opening dam stage so far and it is impressively done. I did not display much 'finesse' as I progressed through the level...kinda just raged like a bull in a china shop. I need to hone my skills a bit more and try it again, perhaps on a harder difficulty level. I watched my roommate playing through the second stage 'facility'. All in all it looks like a great game. I give props to Eurocom and Activision on this one.

Does the Wii version have all the cheats the N64 version had?

I doubt it, but it does have paintball mode! And the Golden Gun mode!

In hindsight I'm not sure it's fair or even really possible to compare the two games...

To be completely honest, I can hardly play the N64 Goldeneye anymore :/ I haven't played the Wii one yet but it looks phenomenal.
