You need to play "Jeanne d'Arc". Imo its the best game they made so far.

I'm... not going to say I think this is a good idea. Pretty much everything new they make butchers the old. About the only good thing to come out of Square-Enix on home consoles this gen was a cell phone port- FF4: The After Years. Even remakes have me a little leary; the extra stuff in Chrono Trigger DS felt tacked on, and with a mucked engine, it was far inferior to the SNES port. (And before anyone says anything, yes, I HAVE played both versions together.) And why did we need to add in more (and switchable) skills in FF4DS?

I think the only way we're going to see a good game from them again is if it is outsourced. Perhaps an outsourcing of Radical Dreamers would be nice? (For those who don't know, it, not Chrono Cross, was the actual sequel.) Or heck, many of Enix's games outsourced would also be good. (Actraiser, Soul Blazer, Robotrek...) But if SE does it themselves, well... I'll approach it with caution... and probably stick to my original copies...

I can't really blame Mistwalker as they did an phenominal job on Lost Odyssey. I think Feel.plus played a giant role in that.

Although, story and game design aside (although we don't actually know who did what exactly), Blue Dragon had major problems outside of that. It was a shoddy game. Place your hate for Level 5 aside for a moment. I understand the complaints but substituting Artoon is like 8x worse.

I dont hate L5 at all, just disappointed in there performance after Darl Cloud 2 which is he best in house game developed by them. How do you create Dark Cloud a nearly perfect game game design and technical wise then create mediocre games like Rough Galaxy and White Knight?* hell most problems were just amatuer s* They are suppose to a RPG company but there probalyl more known for professor laton than anything his gen.

I not "really" defending Artoon either, Ther just the 1st outsource company to pop into mind and I have a soft spot for them since the excellent Yoshi Island DS.

I guess it just comes from a basic disagreement. I thought Rogue Galaxy was excellent and that WKC was pretty good.

I wish S-E would forget about Lara Croft and what ever else right now. I have been bothered for years now since Squaresoft left me hanging at the end of Vagrant Story. I loved that game and the ending screamed out "sequel" for me.

Yup... still waiting Square-Enix. Why not just reboot that?

Hell, they wouldn't even need to even reboot it to be completely honest, they could just make an all new game, featuring Ashley Riot and call it "Wanderer".
