Terrorist threat, one of the biggest myths of the last decade. The definition of terrorists to the US, are people who actually shoot back at their invasion forces.

I think your understanding of who is actually fighting NATO and/or American forces in Iraq and Afghanistan is lacking ...
The bulk of the forces within these countries are not from these countries, and their only thing that ties them to these countries is that they're Muslims and brown. A famous example of this is Omar Khadr, who was born in Canada of Egyptian immigrants, traveled to Afghanistan to train to be a terrorist, and fought against the Americans after the invasion. In a similar way to how many conflicts in the previous century were proxy-wars with Communist states, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are proxy wars against rogue-states (Iran) and terrorist groups.
While "terrorist" is certainly not an accurate label, and a more appropriate term is probably "Crusader", it is far more accurate than "Soldier", "Freedom Fighter" or "Guerrilla"
