Stop using facts. DQX is jumping from the Wii just like DQ9 abandoned the DS for PSP the way everyone predicted.

Um sorry who predicted this, especially with screenshots out as soon as the game was announced?  And I can understand the OPs interest in the game's status.  Though as far as I know the game hasn't offically been anounced so I don't know why there should be screen shots yet or anything.  Why it's taking so long to get announced on the other hand is a bit of a mystery and I wouldn't be surprised if they're still trying to figure out to what market they wanna put this game on (Probably end up on the 3DS if you ask me).

with all your awesome joke thread, I'm really not sure whether to take any of your comments seriously! ;)

He probably just played White Knight Chronicles or ROgue Galaxy....in which case his comment would be true.

I've only played DQ,4,5,7,8 so can't comment really. And only beat 5,8 so can't really comment
Darth I have a question... you played Dragon Quests 4,5... did you like them more than 8,9?

5 tramples all over 9 and 4.

4 is slightly better than 9

9 is still good

Haven't played 8

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

There was a long period with no media on DQ9. Around this time some "rumors" spread that it suddenly went multiplat on PSP or even jumped ship entirely. Some of the wacky reasons I recall was that DS was 'too popular' and SE didn't want to compete, and that it was in their best interest to 'save' Sony and the PSP with DQ9 since the DS 'didn't need it.' A lot of this nonsense persisted up until a few months before the Japanese release when it became painfully apparent that DQ9 wasn't going anywhere. People will say anything when it comes to console wars.

Anyways, DQX is a Wii game and that'sreally all there is to it. That's how Dragon Quest works. The sooner people accept that it's not going to PS3 or 3DS or Xbox 720, the more satisfied they'll be with the actual product.

I ask again, who said this?  And they had screenshots of the game and Square said they're pushing release back so Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest arn't released to close together, so that was the excuse to rework the game to make it turn bases again.

"Update: It appears that Gamelabo has a very poor track record. Don't get your hopes up. At all. It's something we're going to keep in mind next time the rumor mill starts turning."

@ darkknightkryta

I'm not sure how closely you follwed DQ9, but there was a big backlash from Sony fans when it was announced for DS, which led to strong PSP port rumors up until a large amount of media was shown for the game in 2008.

To be fair, it was console fans as well as Sony fans who were vocal with their disappointment, but it was the latter who pushed the PSP thing hard until it was finally debunked.

Either way, history seems to be repeating itself with X.
