We'll it's become evident that Sony has abandoned a firmware solution and is just releasing games in packs onto ps3 disks with HD upgrades and trophies ect. I am a little sad that ps3 will never really be BC but on the other side it's not like the re-releases aren't worth it, more then one game on one disk for a low price with all gliches ironed out and their just so convenient, finding old ps2 games in stores new is almost impossible so even if Sony made ps3 backwards compatible they'd just be helping out gamestop and this way they make money while giving people better value for their money, the one downside is I can see how some people who already own the game might feel screwed over a bit, but lets face it if you have a ps2 game you have a ps2 and if it broke you can replace it for dirt cheap, personally I like the solution since I don't own that many ps2 games and my ps2 still works anyways what do you think

Even though I have a BC PS3 I still think it's a great idea. I can jump back into these updated games and collect trophies!

I am generally positive about ports when the console has a good library already. I'm not that big of a fan of remakes but these are enhanced ports than remakes.

I don't have a BC ps3 so im greatful were getting remakes.

I think it's great. Means the PS3 is finally getting some good games.

I think it's fun if you don't already have the games, but I still have 100 games on my ps2.   IMO real gamer's don't care about trophies :)

I personally think it's better to have trophies then not, I mean games like mirror's edge benefit greatly from it but it's not worth going out of your for and certainly not buying a game again

I'd sooner go for a remastered version with trophies than having to hunt for it online somewhere. Eventhough I already own FFX X-2 and 12, I'll day one them if they prove to be true.

The remade port compilations are the best games on the console so far.

It already has good games though.
