and...the next one isn't a battle theme but it sounds very good in that form!

The one for Final Fantasy 10 sounds pretty much exactly like the original but slightly higher pitched.

FFX used alot of Midi-like sounds and added real instruments to the mix (like piano) which made it unique among the full blown Orchestra sound that were popular for RPGs that time.
i think Square should notice that already among other game makers, adding Midi sound to the mix is awesome.
