39.  Star Fox 64 - N64

This game was quite a awesome feat for its time. It was so much fun and its campaign has some of the high replay value ever. I loved playing through it choosing different routes and taking down Andross through various different routes. A great and awesome time.

38. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - PS3

This is the first game in what is becoming another one of Naughty Dog's classic series. An engaging story, beautiful graphics, and good gameplay are more than enough to deserve a place on this list. An extremely polished game that is a fantastic experience to play through.

37. Fire Emblem VII - GBA

This was my first game is the extremely popular SRPG franchise. It has excellent characters and an engaging story that is only complimented by a fun, polished battle system. A must play for any SRPG fan.

36. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - Xbox

This a great game and a very experience that would be much higher but it gets bogged down with its crappy ending. Definitely deserves a playthrough just for the experience of a truly great Star Wars game. One of the best WRPGs out there (2nd best all time, imo).

35. Red Alert 2 - PC

This was the first RTS that I ever put a ton of time into. Introduced and played with by family, I have nothing but fond memories of it. It caused me to love the genre and led way to many other startegy games. No other series is very similar to this one, nothing can beat the live action actors.

40-35 from my list.

40. Kingdom Hearts (PS2)

Final Fantasy Disney, what could have gone wrong?  Well plenty, but it didn't so that's what is important.  If there was a significant flaw it was the Gummi Ship, but there wasn't too much focus placed on it.  The characters from both sides of the table stir up wonderful memories, relying on what is already known to build a good story.  There are plenty of wonderful levels to explore and the combat is a solid action RPG battle system.  A good mix of abilities incorporated into the action providing a number of tactics into battles, whether against a generic enemy or a boss.

39. Link's Awakening (GBC)

The size of this gameboy game is immense, filled with sidequests in addition to the eight dungeons.  The ability to use multiple items at the same time gives the items a wider variety of uses and allows for a completely new set of puzzles by pairing items.  The most influential item, roc's feather is obtained in the first dungeon and is integral to the gameplay.  The combat benefits greatly from the ability to jump and keeps battles at a high pace with otherwise undodgeable attacks.  The clever dialog, characters, and easter eggs thrown in add a wonderful feel to the world of Koholint and its foreboding Wind Fish, waiting for you at the end of the game.

38. Spyro: Year of the Dragon (PS)

It's difficult to create a platformer with flight and not end up with a bunch of linear levels, but the Spyro team does it well.  Collecting the countless eggs within the levels provides an easy enough goal and allows for plenty of exploration.  The addition of other playable characters also helps to temper the fatigue that can often result from longer games.  The larger levels in this game compared to previous Spyro games sets it apart from the field.

37. Puzzle Pirates (PC)

The premise for this game is great, an MMO based on puzzles.  Not all of the puzzles are original (bejeweled clones included) but throwing a persistant rating system on top of them really adds to the experience and makes it less of a one game takes all deal.  This rating is based largely upon what the community was like in the past as it has gone downhill over the years as less unique content was added to the game.  One of the major bonuses to this game compared to most MMO games is that it largely rewards skill rather than playtime.  I wish more MMOs would take this approach but realize that it isn't in their interest financially.

36. Little Big Planet (PS3)

User generated content is the major addition in this game, but the levels created by the development team are quite good in their own right.  The sheer flexibility of the level creation tools allows people with enough creativity to do everything from crafting music boxes to building functioning ALUs and games such as tic-tac-toe.  Oh, and platforming levels too, whether completely original, or a mockup of another game.  In addition DLC has added new features which branch out on the basic platforming tools with water and the paintgun.  They also put in some cute features for multiplayer with otherwise inaccessible areas and the ability to sticker your friend or take out your aggression to get a few more point bubbles.

Primarily an RPG player but have interest in any game that will make me think.

My roomate was obsessed with this game! His specialty was the sword fighting puzzle (I think...) and the cannon-ball puzzle. I never really understood how the game worked, but it was always fun to see him mumble expletives under his breath every time he would play this game. Seems to be addiction at its finest!

Unfortunately, yes. It killed any interest I may've had in the game by the prior picture. There are 2 giveaways I see in this picture as to the gender:

1. Bra straps in the back. While there are a few effeminate gay guys that wear bras, I somehow doubt that something with a name as big as MGS would be willing to portray something so alternative to the norm.

2. Lack of any bulge in... that area. Yes, I know that it's the reverse side, however, if there were a bulge, the fabric would be stretching differently. At the right angle, you might see some extra fabric indicating its prescence. But this is clearly not with one, thus, female.

I've never really understood why a gay guy would be into a guys who dress up like  girls.

Does that help?

O_o

Is that real, or is it some fan made stuff?

If it's real, are the MGS games part of the gay dating sim genre? The writing definately seems to be on the level of porn movies.

Yes, and yes.

37.ONIMUSHA DAWN OF DREAMS(PS2)

ONIMUSHA DAWN OF DREAMS is an awesome Action horror game and the latest entry in the awesome Action horror onimusha series. after Oda Nobunagas defeat  in Onimusha 3 demon siege Toyotomi Hideyoshi is now in control of Japan. you play as Soki and is companions YagyÅ« Akane (Yagyu Jubei), Ohatsu, Roberto Frois, Tenkai on quest to destroy a renewed Genma threat.

ONIMUSHA DAWN OF DREAMS is much longer then the previous three Game in the series about 15-20 hours spreed over 2 DVDs. ONIMUSHA DAWN OF DREAMS was a gift to the longtime fans it was a combo of the best elements of the first three games and some awesome new ideas.

the Controls are basically the same as the full analog controls developed for Onimusha 3 but improved upon them. the musical score is awesome and has more of a Rock/Electric music theme then before.

The Graphics are amazing for its time to. This is my favorite Onimusha Game out of all four Games. I love this series and I hope CAPCOM make another Onimusha This Gen.

34. Super Street Fighter II (SNES)

I wouldn't be surprised if everyone on this website has played one of the versions of Street Fighter II at least once in their life, that's how popular it was. I mainly remember it for the two player mode, I wasted many an hour fighting my friends. Ryu always ended up being a favourite, with the famous Hadouken.

34. Mass Effect (X360)

Another surprise to me. There are surely not many WRPGs that I really liked, but Mass Effect was one of them. The best about it was the story, but something that annoyed me were its' framedrops in the 360 version.
