I think you just created a scenario in hopes FF13V stays exclusive. Perhaps it will be a PS3 exclusive. But it won't be because of how FF13 does in Japan on the 360.

More importantly, FF13 has done 1.5 million on the 360. 2 million should happen eventually. That's what will motivate a port. Not Japan's performance.

yes, but its not a main installment. a lot of people who play the games are just going to see it as a spin off, sequel etc. it may not have the same traction as an exclusive game, and may just fade into the night. i think so anyway, i dont think it will have the same attention as when it was exclusive.

Do you think Call of Duty: Modern Warfare? Would have sold as much being on one console.

Yes, I personally think it will sell less, than the main installment. But so did the other spinoffs in FF that were exclusive to the platforms. I'll list the ones >80 Meta

And I think it will go multi, but I have no evidence so I'm not going to argue that aspect.

It's been 4 years since the game was announced... what's another six months on top all things considered? :P

I'm actually more curious about FFXIV going multi, and if SE/MS can work out that deal... Versus seems more like an inevitability in comparison...

i am not saying just japan's performance is contributing to it

 

but what Japan's performce will add to the total sales and if those sales could be attainable on a single platform

It's just so annoying!

We've waited long enough, with promises of an exclusive. Don't delay it for us just so a userbase who wont buy it even half as much anyway can also have it.

Put it on the 360? Yeah. Sure. But don't delay the PS3 version. Sick of SE being arseholes this generation...

it could show the contrary, but i doubt it tbh. dont get me wrong its good for the series if it does, but games have changed these days, exclusives like Demon's Souls or Heavy Rain work well, but looking at stuff like Castlevania, Enslaved or Vanquish, it wouldve been better for those games to go exclusive imo.

so i think it depends on the type of game, sports and shooters will do well mutlipatform, but will FFversus?? i suppose we'll find out when its released. 

about the multi thing, i think square listed a job listing recently for FF13versus, the job post was something to do with the 360 and the ps3.
